Wife's car won't go forward or backward. It starts up fine but it's like the emergency brake is still engaged. We put the car in neutral and tried to push but it won't budge.

Relevant info: 2004 Dodge Neon manual transmission. I washed the car Wednesday, it hasn't been driven since then. Our best guess is some dirt got into somewhere when I was cleaning the wheels but I'm not sure where to start looking.
