Seems like a large number of American's share "an unhealthy delusion". Rather than pretending this problem doesn't exist, or dismissing it as "delusion", perhaps it would make more sense to better understand and work towards a solution.

Sandra Bland though she was being treated unfairly by police. Self reporting about your feelings is not really an accurate measure of anything but your feelings. Anyone can say they feel they are receiving unfair treatment.

It's because there are some people that think a Pacific Islander Woman is some symmetrical faced Asian with a slight tan and goddess figure. They have no clue who is who.

 

A self reported survey of feelings cannot be an accurate measure of anything more than feelings, and the fact that it is self-reported means it is probably not even an accurate measure of that. We have seen video evidence of one of these alleged incidents of mistreatment, and it was not mistreatment at all, IMO. If the complaints are about incidents like that, then they are just whiny people being whiny.

I have seen police misconduct in my work. In my limited experience, it tends not to be racially disproportionate and more often has to do with things like destruction of evidence than racism or excessive force.

It is some sort of problem, but not necessarily one stemming from widespread mistreatment. 25% of Americans think the sun orbits the earth. That isn't a problem of astrophysics.
