Captured on video: Cops shoot and kill white man with hands up in Texas

KSAT released the unedited version of the video yesterday.

Sheriff's office isn't too happy about the release of the unedited video. Perhaps, instead of being mad about how the public react, they should immediately hand the investigation over to an independent body.

Yeah, that looks REALLY bad, imagine how crazy the BLM guys would have reacted if they ever had a case this legitimate to riot about?

 

There isn't a legit case for a riot. There are numerous legitimate cases for protests.

 

There's very rarely a legit case for a riot....hasn't been one in a LONG time. I only talk about riots because that's pretty much what BLM is all about.

 

And where are these riots you speak of happening at...?

 

In poor cities with weak leaders that let it happen.

 

Be specific... Your interest is talking about riots so name the cities.

 

Recently? Baltimore and Ferguson come to mind.

 

Irrelevant as the rates are significantly low for both races, like professional polka dancers or 52 blocks practitioners. The prison population is less than 1% of the whole country, even if blacks committed every single crime there'd still be 30 million of them with no desire to steal your laptop, sell you coke or rape your wife, not even a little bit.

 

Police corruption in this country is out of control. This is just another example. Imagine how many dead bodies in the past have been the result of crooked officers. We will never know because there were no cameras and no social media. Sometimes they are racist + crooked, other times they are just crooked.

 

I totally agree with you on that. In the first video you can see that the officer kicks something way from the body of the guy who was shot he may have had his hands up but the ? is what was in his hand that caused him to be shot.

 

What does that have to do with the actual shooting?

 

It's just context. This looks a lot like a legitimate case of "hands up, don't shoot" yet I'm not sure it's even a national story. Pretty interesting isn't it?

 

Except it is a national story. I've seen the video on many national newscasts with lengthy discussion. But please, continue to bring in racism whenever possible.

 

Fair enough, I haven't, but I think it's fair to say that there has been less reaction to this legitimate example of "hand up, don't shoot" than there was to the illegitimate example a year ago.

There's no lynch mobs in the street this time around, I wonder why that is?

 

Because the officers haven't been acquitted?

 

Because white people cant relate to being unfairly killed by cops as much as black people can.

 

Body cam on every state employee that carry deadly weapon + independent body for investigation. Those two are doable and would greatly help solve this problem.

 

There was a lynch mob in the street long before they announced that they weren't going to try the innocent man.
