Following him on his Instagram story and he was weighing himself in at over 262. I referenced his listed weight last year from NBA.com which was 240. The year previous he was listed around 220 He's really growing into his body.

He could be a freak this year. This is a big reason he seems to be a non - starter on any trade offers.

I guess it's possible, but I have no idea how somebody that tall can gain 25 pounds in just two months or so.

Although he's still a work in progress his improvement every year is remarkable. This dude was so raw when we got him that if he keeps improving at this pace he's going to be a beast role player.

Chow Key needs to get on that Capela regimen. I see greasy Keith Jones putting in work with the weight gaining plan

For someone nearly 7 feet tall who does as much cardio-related workouts as he probably does, gaining 25 pounds in under two months just seems unrealistic. I don't even believe it's humanely possible to gain 25 pounds of muscle in a year, let alone 60 days.

Probably a lot of water weight that he will lose throughout the season. He's gaining nearly a pound a day. I doubt his listed weight of 240 was accurate then.

In general you need 3,500 cals in excess of your calorific maintenance to gain a lb. So perhaps Keith Jones has him on an excess calorie diet gaining a lb a day.

Two of these mother ****ers errday

That gives you about 4000 calories. Add in some tater tots or fries and a giant 64 oz coke and his regular diet and he should be there.
Keith Jones knows best on how to gain weight. No doubt

I don't know how I feel about this. It will definitely help him bang down low with some of the bigger guys like gasol and cousins, but I'd prefer him stay agile and bouncy so he can continue to race down the floor and get them lobs and weak side blocks

You have amazing timing I was just looking at Zhou Qi's weight from the draft at 210 and I was wondering how much Capela has added since the draft as a comparison.

That's great. How's his free throw? And his PNR defense?
