J-Ham does not lack the talent.. that's for sure. Awesome to see Clutchfans watching the D-League. If the NBA could add a legit D-League/Minor league system it would be so awesome (and probably kill Kentucky).
He'd be a great player if he stuck to his role (3&d),which he did in the first games. But unfortunately he started to take dumb shots or unnecessary dribbles.
The problem with that is he isn't much of a defender and is more a general scorer than a spot up 3 point shooter. Maybe, hopefully, he'll become a 3&D guy, but that's not the type of player he's ever been.
Point being what exactly? What DMo and Jones did well down there translated to the NBA and he is 20 years old, completely raw, and yet more dominant than either of them statistically. They were clearly the best players on the floor every night that they played too and yet somehow this kid is on another level out there and it's all natural ability. Dude is a freak. I'd say that is plenty reason to be optimistic.
http://dleague.nba.com/news/nba-development-league-showcase-5-takeaways-2015/ The Rockets may have found a steal in Clint Capela. It’s time to buy Clint Capela stock, because among the players who stepped on the floor, his future looked brightest. His fluid athleticism and timing on alley-oops and blocks stood out, especially since he’s just 20 years old. The Swiss big man entered the NBA as a mystery man, who the Rockets nabbed with the 25th overall pick. Now he’s unraveling that mystery: After posting 42 points (18/24 FG), 28 rebounds and 8 blocks in 52 total minutes at Showcase, he’s now averaging 27.2 points, 16.2 rebounds and 5.6 blocks per 36 minutes for the RGV Vipers this season.
