    That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is I would support the cause if I didn't have to give so much of my private information. Is that not a legitimate concern?

    Yeah, that's clearly not what he or I were getting at. I've read in the past about controversies with how change.org manages the information they get from signees, thus my concern.

    Plus I just don't like giving out my personal info. Got a cheap haircut the other day and when trying to pay the stylist asked, "May I have your phone number and e-mail address?" WTF? Why? Just take the cash, please.

    it was a joke to make light of the fact that the two pieces of information they are asking you for are innocuous and by no means present a clear and present danger to you. If you don't want to sign it for fear of reprecussions, then don't.

    On the address line, just put anything--I put in the letter "q" and that worked for me.
