Jones is the third best playmaker on this team after Harden and Smith. He needs to see the floor if healthy.

Well Corey brewer and Jason terry can contribute now as far as some points. Then dmo off the bench. I can see us adding a pg/SG that can shoot.

Sorry but Smith is not a playmaker. He is decent, serviceable at passing but still not a great, quick passer.

    I would say Harden, Papawin-now,

Honorable mention: Dmo, part time Ariza

have to watch Brewer more but he seems to be a good transitional passer

He's not great, but he's certainly better than KPap/DMo/Ariza.

Ariza is a disaster when he puts the ball on the floor, KPap shows flashes but has terrible games very frequently, and DMo gives the occasional nice pass but he is most effective at scoring from the block, not driving and dishing.

Smith can at least put the ball on the floor like Jones but is a much better passer.

you know you have depth when u have too many players on your roster. maybe too much depth? black and dorsey showed a few 5-10 second productive streaks now they wont get any burn. shved and kostas fight for the euro roster spot.

no but srs, canaan is done. he did string a few games where he made a case to be the backup pg. i was okw ith dorsey and black growing as nba players to see if they can give consisetn 10-15 min off the bench. oh well

McHale weakest points , he can't handle depth..if we had depth last year or earlier this year, we would't see DMO ,T.J ,Cannan or even Patrick , it was all left for random injuries that forced him to use the nextvnew guy

    Howard/Montiejunas
    Smith/TJ
    Ariza/Papa
    Harden/(Terry/Brewer)
    Beverley/(Canaan/Terry)

Obviously things switch around, but I'm definitely down with this.

No doubt our depth is the best the Dream's era.

No way Brewer is above Bev. Not sure about Ariza either.

With or without any more major moves, I feel like with the addition of Smith and Brewer, the Rockets is very close to having enough talents to contend. If Smith can get back to his Atlanta form, he'll be the third star.

To me, getting another star is just an icing on the cake. It's not something that I think is guaranteed and even necessary for the Rockets. Contrary to the general belief here, I don't think the Suns necessarily has to trade Dragic, their best player. I think the Suns organization even has a definite plan! That said, I think there is a good chance that Morey will make a midsized move at the trade deadline to upgrade the team's biggest weakness after evaluating how this current group plays.
