Sure. But no individual could effectively guard Jordan one-on-one, and the same could be said about LeBron, Wade, Kobe, and probably a few others over the league's history.

Just being an absolute freak gives LeBron a better chance than most others. However, MJ was as close to unstoppable as you can get.

It say lebron could effectively guard jordan for at least 2 quarters but eventually jordan would adjust, kinda like when lebron was guarding kobe and kobe had to adjust his shot to arc it over lebrons out stretched arms.

The real queston though is could jordan guard lebron? Thats size speed and power is no easy combination to guard.

I'll just drop my post from the other thread here...
    _____

Let's be honest -- Jordan (in his prime) would have had his hands full trying to play against Lebron. Modern athletes are almost always going to be bigger, stronger, faster than those from the previous generation.

Would be a one helluva match-up.

They should computer simulate a game of 1-on-1 between the two like they did with Marciano and Ali.

The Bulls would use Pippen against LeBron, anyway. MJ would need help defenders to guard LeBron, Pippen might too.

He would be one of the hardest players, he had to ever guard, because even you can stop LeBron from getting easy scoring opportunities, he can kill you with his teammates getting easier opportunities or scores.

Lebron is probably the best perimeter defender since Pippen so he would have the best shot at guarding Jordan.

Sure he could guard Jordan and make him work hard for his points. He might even reduce his efficiency. Of course, that would still leave MJ shooting, what, 45% from the floor?

Lerbron can guard and cover God's green earth so surely he can cover Jordan no problem.

Not a chance in hell, and Lebron would foul out trying.

Jordan was amazingly quick, aggressive, and able to finish through contact, if he played with these no touch rules he would have scored 50ppg in a season.

Hell yes Lebron can guard Jordan. In fact, I'd go so far as to say he'd nearly shut him down completely! Of course, Jordan is nearly twice Lebron's age....
