Talk about a third scoring option deeee - luxe. Any cap gurus know? He is an unrestricted FA with early termination rights... Imagine Yao Scola Battier T-Mac AI (as a sixth man, subbing in for whoever wins the starting role) Can this be done? Would AI even not be the main guy?
We need a pass first point guard and you want Iverson? His assist numbers might look good in the regular season, but he turned into the black hole again in the playoffs.
I know this meets all of Clutch's guidelines as a legitimate thread. But why does my head still hurt?
AI is probably the most cursed superstar there is. No matter where he goes anymore mediocrity seems to follow. His playing style is so unique for all the right and wrong reasons. His need to dominate the ball and what not, I just don't see how he could mesh well with this unit. He's an amazing player, don't get me wrong. Soon to be 33-years-old and takes a beating like no other yet he can still blow by 95% of the league. I don't think it's a good fit but at the same time, if his agent calls and asks what our plans for the MLE are it's hard to not at least listen.
Think he would? And I did not mean as a starter.. I meant as a sixth man... As "Bobby Jackson EXTRA STRENGTH" You all know as much as you hate him, his motor never shuts off.
AI's tenacity is what this team needs and tmac lacks. I would be happy to trade tmac straight up for him if possible
You know what IS intriguing though? Swapping McGrady for Iverson. AI LOVES Yao and he can be that go-to guy at the end of games.
On a side note.... Imagine Yao, T-Mac, AI, Francis, Deke and B Jax all playing on the same team on NBA Live 2003. That team would go 82-0 in Franchise mode.
Not really that cursed. At least he went to the finals and if it wasn't for Shaq and Kobe he probably won a championship by now. I think Iverson won game 1 against the Lakers in the final or at least 1 game where he dropped like 40 or 50.
AI wants to get back to the finals... pretty sure he can tell the Thuggets ain't goin' any time soon... We got B-Jax specifically for a trade this off season (expiring contract)... Just sayin'...
