Looks unlikely that he'll not be a Rocket next year. Much better options for him out there.

If he doesn't return, then it means more minutes to develop our soon-to-be All-Stars.

Way to go Morey!! We were very lucky Mutombo was loyal in 2009 or else he would've signed with the Celtics, who Morey also didn't even try to sign immediately.

honestly, does he really fit the direction of the team? no. he was a late season push for the playoffs. he was a five hour energy drink.

i like him a lot for what he gives on court and in the locker room, but i would be upset if the rockets think its worth investing in a 38 year old.

the goal should not be to make the playoffs. the goal is to build a championship team. its not happening in the next couple of years. let camby go into retirement with someone else, and hope the rockets spend their money on a younger player who may still be here when we win a championship.

He should go to the Heat. If Dallas ends up with Nash or Williams, going there would make a lot of sense as well.

You should be considered the loser of this argument simply for the fact that you called someone "chief".

I have never heard someone younger than 70 call someone chief.

I do not think overpaying is the answer in the long term (his age). It is not like he is the final piece in a play-off push for the 12-13 season.

Thought - if he were never a Rocket we would have picked in the top 10 in this year's draft IMO.

You guys shouldn't be too surprised, Morey's made it his priority to pursue younger prospects IE - Asik but I think the Rockets are a favorite in this resigning of Camby. I don't blame him for having options..

Holy overreaction people. His tweet from yesterday says he's waiting on the "home team".

Even if does leave Houston, I wish him the best. But he would be a great back up for whichever center we eventually bring in. Not to mention a great locker room presence/mentor.

What a bunch of ninnies. Freaking out because before free agency has started Morey hasn't signed the backup C.

Get a clue how the cap works. Relax.

Camby would be wasting his time with the Rockets. We don't need him. We aren't winning a title anytime soon. Go to a contender, Camby. Too damn old anyway.

I think you underrate the veteran influence a guy like Camby can have. Just from a locker room standpoint, considering how many young guys are on the roster, I think he'd be a great addition -- never mind he's actually still quite useful as a player.
