    Pass Intercept. %

    T.J. Yates HOU 2.6%

Cam has 5 wins. Guess how many total picks he has thrown in those 5 games. Zero. Turning the ball over is the most important stat for winning. He averaged under 200 yards passing in those games.

No argument he is on pace to be the "Greatest Football Player Eva"?

No sorry, there is a huge argument.

The NFL has already adjusted and his Yds/gm has dropped from an awesome 299 in the first 8 games to 221 in the last 6 which would put him at 17th last year.

how many yards did he throw for yesterday?

    Did they win?

Was he the best player on his team?

    Is he a rookie?

Is he about to break several records?

    Has he already broken records?

He's on pace for nearly 5000 total yards and 34 TDs as a rookie

Who else in NFL history has been better through their first 14 games?

His winning had more to do with lack of Int's than yards thrown. I don't see what the rest of your delusional questions have to do with anything.

Uhh no. since October he has thrown for 221 Y/G.

You are putting too much into yards, which will go down next year.

I still say it's nuts to bring up the subject of Greatest Player Ever in a thread about a rookie. If you hadn't the discussion in this thread might be a lot better.

That said, major props to Cam Newton on a historic rookie season. His progression from early on (when he had the high yardage games) is stunning. He's growing up quickly and has evolved into more of a true QB instead of being just a thrower. I watched his complete stinker games (Packers, Falcons, Lions) but even in those you could his potential. Rookie QBs always lay eggs when they are asked to do a lot.

They should finish the season 6-10, which is pretty good considering how bad their team is. The future looks bright for Cam Newton and the Panthers. If Newton remains dedicated to offseason workouts, he will be special.

Oh man.. imagine where this Carolina team would be if they didn't have so much injury on the defensive side.. they might be the team to watch next year! And Cam is a huge part of their offensive successes this year no doubt! He's fun to watch.

Is there really a distinction between "on pace to be the best ever" and "having the best rookie season ever"?
