That's not a legit excuse. Lin held Lilard to 2-8 shooting before he got subbed out in the 4th.

And even if it was a better defensive matchup, it makes our offense complete ****. Lets say it decreased our points allowed by 2, but it probably decreased our point scored by 6....a net decrease of 4 points. Would you want that?

Basically Sampson discounting what Lin can do on both sides of the court and thinks he's equal to Toney Douglas LOL....

They're continuing to show CSN video feed and I just caught Sampson BS interview. Said Douglas was a better defensive match-up.
Lin was playmaking, making the right plays and TD...was TD. We needed Lin on the OFFENSIVE end to playmake, that's where things fell apart and why Rox ultimately lost game. Lilliard, Batumm, etc. were making heroric shots but we still SHOULD have won game! This coaching staff SUCKS!

Calvin has a point , said because of the assist Lin was getting, Portland started playing more at the passing lanes, allowing Lin to drive in more

If this is true then Sampson should be fired. You put the ball in the players' hands, give them some guidance, but let them use their talents on the court. It wasn't like Lin was being a ball hog or trying to play hero ball- he made a great play that had a great result. SMH

"a little bit", understatement much? If he was only a "little bit" Sampson would've never put Lin on the bench.

Because TD's a chucker. This is a fact, not an opinion. Last year, Douglas shot an atrocious 23% from 3 pt range. Yet, he took 6.4 3-pt attempts per 36 mins.

In comparison, Ray Allen took 5.4 attempts per 36 mins last year. Let that sink in.

I'm going to take a wild guess that Sampson's not a stats kind of coach.

this is the problem with former college coaches. They don't understand the flow of the pro-game at all. AND the fact that the guys w/ big contracts stay on the floor to close an f-ing game.

ESPN didn't bother to make a note of Lin benching.

Boy, did you watch the game at all?

I get the LOFs are annoying az hell, but you guys presume and hate just as equally bad.

Did you know Lin forced Lillard into 3-9 shooting and 0 assists before he got against TD?

Or did you quickly forget or ignore how Lillard quickly scored 2 threes on Lillard immediately after TD was subbed in for "defense?"

    smh. haters. bandwagoners.

yall all alike and equally pathetic.
