The Rockets have the best regular season record; they are yet to prove they are the best playoff team. The playoffs are a different game: slower, less penalty calls, more physical, increased defensive intensity, more half-court sets. Nothing is given, it is truly the "second season." I am cautiously optimistic, but I am far from giddy.

 

Let’s just see how the other playoff teams are able to match up with Houston. To say they have their hands full would be an understatement.

The thunder beating us actually made it more likely that we don't face them in the first round. They are pretty much locked into the a top 7 seed now. So we wont be seeing them round 1. Round 1 looks like the t-wolves...nuggets being a long shot. Something crazy would have to happen otherwise.

 

I was more ticked off by how we played in the win against the Blazers than I am about this loss to the Thunder. I even made some stupid comment saying that Portland deserved to win, given the kind of game we played. Don't get the angst about the last game, though, since it meant nothing for the Rockets.

 

We're pretty much getting OKC in round 2.
