watched the first 2 episodes and they were boring as hell

gonna give it another episode or 2 before i give up on it

 

Here's the pic from the mother's house of young Dora. Klan related? Mardi Gras? Creepy regardless if it means anything.

 

would love to see another look at that picture. Seemed there was some type of mask they were wearing but maybe it was just the way they were surrounding her

If you're looking for an action flick this ain't it. This is something that's deeply wrought with symbolism and human suffering. You almost have to watch each episode more than once to catch it all. It's a great water cooler series though because the more you discuss it with others, the more you see all the connections.

I'm assuming Cohle killed his daughter, on accident of course, probably was drunk and ran her over in the driveway.

 

I feel like they give so much detail and information that you could possibly solve the crime yourself. I really have to go back and watch and listen some more.

 

I felt like his slight description, something about a weird curve they lived on made me think she died maybe on his watch? As in he was distracted or both parents were? Guess we will see.

 

So, I heard there is going to be eight episodes this year. Does anyone know if this is going to be a series that returns next year, or is everything going to be wrapped up by the end of these eight episodes.

 

It's an anthology series so yes it'll all be wrapped up. 8 episodes for this season, then completely different story with different characters next season. Basically what American Horror Story does with each of it's seasons.

 

Continuing series but with a new cast and story line is my understanding.

There are five men in both of those pictures. The picture from the daughter's room and from the mantle. I wonder if those two things are somehow supposed to be related?

Reading this thread makes the series more interesting to me.

 

interesting thats what i thought this show was which is why i gave it a shot.
