Anybody got the Blu Ray and would recommend paying the extra 10-15 bucks?

Rewarching this wondering how much of the Cohle mowing the yard scene got edited out? There just had to be something awful going on with the daughters and the look between cohle and the oldest daughter was almost some wierd psychic-shining type moment. Then almost instantly they go from looking withdrawn, cold, distant looking to ecstatic when Hart walks in.

That's unfortunate. I don't think it takes away from the enjoyment I got out of season 1, but I could understand it dissuading others from watching the show.

 

Does anyone have an example of the plagarism? I tried to watch the movie linked in the article above but it wouldn't play with my company's restrictions. I'm just curious how blatant it is.

 

There are quotes further below on that page that compare Cohle's dialogue with excerpts from Ligotti's book.

 

I looked at the examples they're trying to call plagiarism awhile back and they are total bs. It's not plagiarism to relay a philospher's beliefs through character dialogue. Pizzolato has also said publicly a number of times that he was influenced by Ligotti.

 

Does this mean he is going to be expelled from hollywood

 

Finished season 1..

Great pace/ acting/ storytelling

However i was anticipating something bigger from the finale....

I believe Rust should have died. Either in the fight or wake up tell his speech and then die of cancer or something, that way he got his peace.

I wished they would have stretched out the story a little with the killer after the fight, feels like he got away with it too painlessly.

Great tv and acting! bit over hyped (finale would have changed my mind) but bit of a let down. About to enter season 2.

I binged watched this and enjoyed it. Hated the athiesm aspect of it though, as im a believer.

If both him and Woody teamed up again I'm so in. If not, after watching the abortion that was season 2 or whatever that was, just not interested.
