No . There aren't any options left in the buyout market that are better than the guys we currently have . This was my point all along . The buyout market is uncertain. Granted , we did ourselves no favors by making staying under the LT a priority . I'm not even confident we will work out anything long term with house at this point . Maybe if we wait long enough we can offer him some of the MLE . I think it's likely we just convert him and he's an RFA .... which we could have done month ago . If we come up close but short again tilman will have made a mistake that is almost unforgivable
Why do we need a center ? Clint is coming back , farried behind him , and PJ after that . Hartenstein can learn to play a decent center if you give him 10 minutes a game
Every lineup we face is taller and bigger than us. Also, faster and smarter and more focused...But why wallow in our misery? Let's try Clint and Manimal together. Maybe we'll have better luck rebounding and pushing the pace.
I’m not upset. When it’s all said and done and the dust settles, I have faith that this team will perform.
Well , I think it's a possibility. But I certainly would have liked the dust to settle differently . I think if we perform , it will be due to the greatness of harden .... and not due to strategic brilliance on the part of the organization
That is simply not going to happen. Not unless D'Antoni is sacked first. Please don't float it as an idea. Unless someone like Tolliver gets bought out, I can't see a long 3/4 type being added to the roster. Hooray for the 6'5 mosquito fleet!!
This is obviously a downfall in having to wait for the buyout market. There are no guarantees. If Memphis didn’t hedge the Rockets would not be in this spot. It is what it is at this point. Team just needs to flat out play better and hope for health throughout the postseason. I think this team will play with a chip on its shoulder. Everyone will start to write the Rockets off and I think (if healthy) the team will perform big in the playoffs.
Good points. The only thing about Markieff that is bothering me is his alarmingly slow rotation on defense. I don't think the Wizards' system has anything to do with it. Tucker/House would be our best defenders against KD and PG. They have a better chance at slowing them down. If Shumpert can slow down Klay, it would be really great. Rivers could help Chris with Curry there.
