That's what I'm thinking ...like picking up Winslow & Herro for a 1st (but I honestly think Buckets picks Htown)
josh richardson, justise winslow, bam, maybe even dragic? idk man im just tryna be optimistic about any scenario that plays out if we dont get butler
I wonder if getting the last meeting with Mr. Buckets might give us a little edge. Hmmm... All in all, I'm remaining pessimistic on our chances of getting him, but optimistic that Dorrel Marnie will find a way to improve us a little—and it might not take a big improvement to get us there.
I like your positive thoughts, but I seriously doubt if Riley will give up anyone of note to Houston.
What is the point of gutting your team for Butler? What is Miami's plan here? Are they that desperate to be mediocre? I could see if Butler is 23-24 but he's on his last big contract, his last good 3-4 years barring major injury...I really don't get their strategy. It's amazing how many times the Rockets get C-blocked because of dumb decisions like the Suns overpaying Ariza and now this move which makes no sense. They are going to build their team around a guy that was always a complimentary star at best?
You people are really...something. I’m actually surprised at how obvious him going to the Rockets is. Philly is unwilling to supermax him and Miami can’t sell themselves on anything to get him realistically. More than that it would be hard to get him cap-wise. I’d say the Rockets chances of getting Butler are at like 70%. Cyberx really called it.
Can we really be so sure of that? It's not like they are the only city to attract stars and Butler isn't a young 20 something that stars are going to run to play with. Especially if they gut their team for him and that would put them what...8th seed at best? Maybe worse. Why would a young star like say Giannis (next big FA) want to go there and not another destination? They are treating this guy as if he's Lebron. He's not an elite player you gut your team for so I really don't understand it, it feels like they are desperate to remain relevant and that's how they've been running their team since Lebron left.
