I honestly dont think our NBA stars dont try that hard at international games. they dont want to get hurt so play more relaxed. I also think they play more for the replay value. they try to make the awesome assist or dunk. usually increasing chances of t/o

Iguodala is a beast on the boards. He would fit perfect next to Martin and Brooks.

So what you're saying is that you don't view Kevin Martin as an above averagae player, potentially an allstar especially playing in Houston? And you don't think that AB has developed in an allstar calliber player.... But you would trade away our young guys for Granger? Pretty sure his stats and Iggy's are about the same.

Granger 24ppg, 5.5 rebounds and only 2 assists
    Iggy- 17ppg, 6.5 rebounds, and 6 assists

Iggy is a beast and a good fit, he passes the ball and still scores. A for sure upgrade at the SF position for years to come.

Agreed... I am not sure on your assessment of AB and MArtin being all-stars just yet. But, It would take too much to get Granger or Melo. Where Iggy is definitely more attainable than Granger and for a much lower price. Too many people here are daydreaming about Granger... Melo could be had but it seems as though he wants to play elsewhere at this point and other teams are probably bidding up the price as we speak. With AB and Martin we do not need a guy who can score 20+ points a game. IMO Iggy could be that last trade to solidify our starting lineup.

Agree. Give me Iggy instead of Carmelo for this team any day. He's a better fit. Unfortunately, I really doubt he's available.

With all the talk of Nets, Denver and Sixers hooking up, maybe Rockets should look to sweeten the package for Iguodala with some picks. Quick!!

How is Iggy a better fit than Melo? Melo is a SF and the Igster is a SG. We have two quality SGs in Martin and Lee, but trading Shane -- and not getting a SF in return -- would leave us with only Budinger and Jeffries as SFs. Whereas I would start Bud over Shane, Melo would be an upgrade over either.

At 6'6 210 Iguodala is capable of playing SF efficiently. He would be a great fit next to Martin, Brooks, Yao and Scola.

Iggy is a better defender and quite capable of playing the SF position. The lineup would be:

    Brooks/Lowry
    Martin/Lee
    Iguodala/Budinger
    Scola/Hayes
    Yao/Miller

Well to be fair, even though his listed as a SG, the guy is more than capable of playing the 3 spot - In comparison to Anthony they both measure around the same..

    [rquoter]Carmelo Anthony
    Height: 6'7.5 | Wingspan:7'0 | Weight:230 | Standing reach:8'9.5

    Andre Iguodala
    Height: 6'7 | Wingspan:6'11 | Weight:217 | Standing reach:8'9.5[/rquoter]
