I don't know Burt ... have never met him and he looks like Ric Flair on the John Daley beer diet.... but he has been right a lot of the time.
@Clutch, I hope you're ready to prevent this site from crashing on Tuesday. Let the Burt Steele count down begin!

Your inner self would rather watch ...... Hot Dog showdown Durnell Maori vs Keith Jones vs Ray Felton
If I recall correctly, he accurately predicted exactly who wants to sex Mutombo and that Sura would faint. He's basically Nostradamus.
Here's what I can find in terms of Bert Steele stories: 3-15-13: Reports Ed Reed was a member of the Texans. 3-20-13: Backs up that report by saying Ed Reed texted him (lol?) to tell him joined the team -As far as I can tell, first official report was 3-23-13 that Reed joined Texans. Lots of people thought Reed was going to sign, but he HAD left without a deal so it wasn't a guarantee. 2-18-15: The infamous "hookers, cigars and scotch on me" post about Morey being all in on Cousins. -No way to verify. 2-18-15: Reports that Morey offered D-Mo for Ty Lawson 2-19-15: Repeats Rockets interest in Ty Lawson -I can't verify these obviously. It was before the trade deadline that year 3-10-15: Reports Texans interested in Cecil Shorts -As far as I can tell, first official report of even a visit came out on 3-16-2016 6-22-17: Little birdy tells him Rockets about to make some moves -Six days later is CP3 trade. CP3 had decided to join before that was announced and they were negotiating for two days, so this could make sense. At a bare minimum, Morey had been negotiating with Clips since 6-27 but probably new before that, so timeline certainly jives. And then we have the Melo news today. He also posted pictures of himself in front row, behind the basket seats and tagged Morey in a thank you for the tickets post. The two most intriguing stories he put up in terms of being "right" appear to be the Cecil Shorts news and the "about to make some moves" story before the Cp3 trade. It's worth noting though that the Rockets were very public about the fact that they'd be active in free agency and his post was extremely vague and was one that he would have been "right about" essentially no matter what as long as the Rockets made moves in free agency of some kind. I'll give him credit for Cecil Shorts. Rest? Inconclusive.
