I was a teacher for 4 years in Houston, plus a sub for numerous years before and after that period. And I'm telling you, I don't make any excuses for these female teachers, but with some of the ones I've talked to, they would say things that indicated that things at home sucked with their husbands- if you know what I mean- and been going on for months and months. Then, you have these guys, these students, who basically worship these teachers- young, enthusiastic guys- and I can see where some of these teachers are doing it because they're missing that thrill in their life. Then again, some of these teachers probably have some mental or emotional issues, too.

There were several times when it could have been real easy for me to have affairs with some of these teachers, but I was dating someone at the time so no go- but let's put it this way, I could definitely see how they turned to students. Again, doesn't excuse it at all- but I guess it doesn't shock me like others.
