    Not to beat a dead horse but had we kept parsons on his rookie contract we could get involved in all these talks.
    We definitely could have netted Gibson

    And Minnesota would sell this move to their fans HOW exactly?? This is ridiculous, and no way does this happen. The Wolves needs somebody they can show off to their fans as their future.

    For those who want Love, this might be the best outcome considering Rose will likely never be the same player again. That possibly opens the door for another Dwight/Lakers situation.

    Its not the same at all, Morey would be all over Wiggins. I have no idea what the Wolves are waffling on, Love is gonna leave no matter what. Take Wiggins and run.

    Actually if you listen to Doc he said we could've had a chance at Love if we targeted him from the start, maybe if we had him plastered all over the Rox arena instead of Me-Lo we could've had him. If this is true I have no idea why DM and the Rox brass chose 30 year old Me-lo over 24 yr old Love.

    They should give up any pursuit of Love because of Pau Gasol :rolleyes:

    If Pau is unhappy about it, then they move him elsewhere. Oh wait, was Pau already riding the pine? Gibson to start and Pau off the bench as the 4/5?

    I would think if Gibson could be acquired in a trade with Chi/Min., then Houston should involve themselves at any meens necessary. Gibson is a star in the making ala Harden.

    Gaol can play both C and PF, he will still get starting minutes.

    Love - 35 minutes
    Noah - 33 minutes
    Gasol - 28 minutes

    3 man front court rotation, would be insane.


    Side note random trade idea, maybe we can swoop in and take Gibson

    Crazy unlikely but possible

    Jones, Gee for Kevin Martin
    TPE and Rockets 2017 first for Gibson (1st to the Twolves)

    Motiejunas, Powell, Hopson, Canaan and Pelicans first for Dragic

    Throw in Capela, Johnsons, rights to Pap & Llull and future seconds as sweetners to either deals.

    Dragic/Beverley/Smith
    Harden/Martin/Daniels
    Ariza/Covington
    Gibson/Adrian
    Howard/Dorsey

    Plus we would still have full MLE and BAE to fill out the front court bench.

    There is a pretty substantial injury concern with each of Noah, Gasol and Love, too. There is definitely going to be a need for all 3 of them and all of them will get plenty of minutes.

    Of course Minny would want him. The question is whether the Rockets can offer Minny something that Minny wants more than him.

    Fun Taj Gibson fact: He is older than Dwight Howard. Would Minny want to have a player like Terrence Jones who is closer to age to Rubio, Mirotic, Dieng, etc.? How about DMo, Llull (Rubio's Spanish national team teammate), NOP pick or other more younger asset? Maybe Houston would also agree to take back an unwanted salary like Kevin Martin or JJ Barea? Not saying HOU would offer all of them, but there would seem to be enough assets out there for a deal to be made somehow if there is interest in a deal.

    They probably do. But maybe the ability to shed a bad contract (TPE) along with NOP pick, TJones, rights to Lull (rubio teammate) and a rookie like Capela or Johnson might entice them.
    Either way this is a waste of time, Wiggins trumps any combination of players who aren't stars
