Daily Southtown - As part of the Ben Wallace agreement, the Bulls are believed to have promised to continue their pursuit of Minnesota Timberwolves star forward Kevin Garnett, according to Paul Ladewski of the Daily Southtown.

The Bulls believe they can revive the talks if they sweeten their offer of center Tyson Chandler and forward Luol Deng with recent first-round draft pick Tyrus Thomas, whom the Timberwolves are known to covet.

Another possibility is a trade with the Denver Nuggets , who re-signed center-forward Nene to a six-year, $60 million deal recently. The contract was similar to the extension that Chandler received last summer

Isn't Chandler being sent to the Hornets for P.J. Brown and J.R. Smith?

don't think it would happen unless Hinrich was involved...he's the next great point guard in this league. Tyrus Thomas is unproven, Chandler can't do anything but rebound, and Deng is mediocre. Seems like a bull sh trade.

Hinrich is the untouchable Bull. If they lined up all of their players in order of how likely they were to be traded, Hinrich would be dead last. What surprises me is Ben Gordon may stay a Bull but I still think it's >50% chance he's gone.

damn if KG can come at that cheap, id say do it!

they didn't even have to tap into their core players  (hinrich, gordon, and now wallace)

    so chandler(already expendible) + deng + tyrus(#2) for KG

not too shabby  considering what the rockets did

    swift + gay(#8) for Battier

Doesn't KG get like $20 million? Chicago would have to add more players to make the salaries work. But I don't think that the deal gets done without Hinrich included.

    KG and Wallace.

I'm not honestly sure how that would work out

but damn it would be a ton of fun watching. And scary for oppostion teams too in that you've got 2 intense , mean hardcore mofo's comin' at ya

that said, i believe there is no way KG ends up a Bull.

Wallace is a team player -- watch tapes of Piston games. He knows his role and fills it well (he played beside Rasheed). Wallace and KG would not be a problem.

KG and Wallace would work out awesome

Wallace doesnt need/want the ball. He cant do anything with it anyway. I would be scared as hell to try and drive that paint.

The problem with all of these KG rumors is that they always come from the team that wants him. The Wolves say they're not trading KG unless he asks them to move him, and I believe that. Chicago's had a huge jones for him forever, but it has to go both ways.

As long as the stories keep originating from the team chasing Garnett, ignore them.

I think Minnesota owes it to Garnett to trade him.

They lost Rashad McCants and their team looks like
garbage this year. We're seeing the loss of the prime
of one of the best players because of Minnesota's ineptness.

I think whether this offseason or next year, there will be
a trade and chicago has the pieces and is Garnett's home.

Assets of Chicago: Hinrich, Gordon, Chandler, Thomas, Deng

I feel that Hinrich is off-limits, but I think that a combination
of Chandler, Thomas and either Deng or Gordon would get it
done and I think it would be a good deal for both teams.

    Imagine Chicago:

    Hinric
    Gordon
    Nocioni
    Garnett
    Wallace

I think if Minnesota doesn't trade away Garnett then they need
to bring in an overpriced star from a team like New York.

A trade to bring Stephon Marbury or Steve Francis would give
Garnett a chance with at least some talent on the roster.

Now would be the time to make this move for the Timberwolves. They stink with Garnett. They could get some of Chicago's youth. I would also ask for Chicago's draft pick from New York, which should be a high pick. Then they could tank the season and get two studs in next years deep draft.

I've been waiting for this shoe to drop since the Big Ben signing. KG has to be salivating at the idea of having Ben having his back. Chandler, Thomas, Deng and an agreement to swap picks in 2007 if it benefits Minn (recall that Chicago effectively has NY's pick and NY should be worse than Minn). 2007 is a big draft so that should sweeten the deal for Minn.

That said, I still don't think KG has the game to be a champion. He does not have an unstoppable signature move, is too easily pushed out of the box. He and Wallace would be awesome to watch though. The rebounding and blocked shots would be incredible.

man the more i look at this the more i call BS. they are still off by a huge amount and the bulls don't have much more in contract value to trade, do they? maybe throw in harrington as well but they are still short even with that.

I honestly believe KG is the best in the game right now..

these talks about getting Marbury or Francis is a joke...... he needs real players, like Nash, or Parker, or Billups.... or Ben Wallace......

If the Bulls get KG, then they'll take the East..........

If the Pistons can get KG....... they'll take the East.......

if he stays in Minnesota, with second rate players..... they won't go far.

KG sells tickets, which is why Minnesota is not going to trade him even though they suck with him.
