it's hard for anyone to get sacks in under 3 seconds since Watt is already there. :)

Crap. I guess they do now. They ran a 3-4 the last 2 years and I guess they hadn't said they were going back to the 4-3 at the time they signed Mario because I remember people talking about Mario still playing OLB. I was unaware that they've since made the decision to go back to the 4-3. I guess that make the rest of my post irrelevant. My bad.

That's because it's different. Barwin's effort has never been questioned, and the defense as a whole has played great so why harp on him for no sacks? Also, he's not supposed to be the best player on a defense that gives up 50 points in a game.

I didn't disregard the rest of your post, but since you compared the two's stats, it is only fair to compare their contracts. Also, Barwin's "under performance" flies under the radar since the defense as a whole has been playing well. If Barwin had signed a $100 million dollar contract in the offseason, you better believe he would be maligned if he only had 6 tackles and 0 sacks.

all you previous mariou jock riders said we shouldn't just look at stats. don't make me go back to 2008. typical houston fans, turn on a player as soon as he leaves. mario was a good pick for the texans, and the texans did good by letting him get his big payday. they didn't need him anymore and it was his time.

Exhibit B - my post a few posts after the one you quoted

Also, turning on players who sign huge contracts to play for other teams isn't exactly a unique phenomenon to Houston fans... LOL.

Barwin wasn't the guy who made Mario expendable. It was Brooks Reed. Barwin and Mario were the 2 starters, Mario got hurt, Reed replaced him and played better than everyone expected, thereby making Mario expendable.

And FWIW, Reed has as many sacks as Mario has this year. Both Reed and Barwin would probably have more sacks if that damn J.J. Watt would stop getting to the QB so fast! :)

that doesn't justify the stupidity. not resigning mario was good all the way around. the texans didn't need him and are able to spend that money in other areas. mario received a huge payday. why texan fans are dwelling on it when the team has a ridiculous pass rush is beyond me.

Who's dwelling on it? Just because people are discussing one of the biggest names ever to wear a Texan's jersey doesn't mean we are loosing sleep over it. At least I am not.

Just because you are bitter about the Titan's sucking and there is zero reason to continue to fellate Vince Young doesn't mean everyone else is. Go project your negative on others.

yeah, this post represents no bitterness. yeah, there's no dwelling, just a whole thread of good riddance to a guy who didn't do anything wrong to this team.

And Bush only played in the first half of game 3 due to a knee strain. And he rushed for 1000 yards last season. I'm getting really tired of people around here dismissing this guy as if he's a bust.

As I recall, Mario was playing as the weakside OLB rush specialist. When he got hurt, Barwin took over that role and Reed took Barwin's spot as the strong OLB. Am I wrong on that?

Not bitter, not dwelling. Just having a little fun at the guy's expense. Mario is a big boy. I'm sure he can take it.

Look, I'm sorry the titans are blowing just HERDS and HERDS of chipmunks this year. That doesn't mean Texan fans aren't allowed to say anything negative about a player who doesn't play for the Texans anymore.

Whatever you say Tonto. We all know why you are trolling.

    P.S.
You should leave the Bigtexxx act to Bigtexxx. It makes you look like a bad Elvis impersonator.
