We've lost Buddy Miles. He died here in Austin yesterday, with the news just coming out. I'll never forget seeing him with Michael Bloomfield in Electric Flag, as well as a concert in Hendrix's Band of Gypsies and other incarnations during his career. Just a terrific drummer. I plan on going to the tribute show, if I can make it. Here's the story... I'll always remember that red white and blue kit. Buddy had a groove like no other. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Man, I'll bet those 2 guys are in the middle of an AMAZING set right now. RIP Buddy Miles
Wow- He came up on stage and played a few songs with us about a year or less ago here in Austin. I had met him once before when he was drumming in a friend of mine's band. That wasn't very long ago and he didn't look like he would be in his death bed this soon. RIP
