I know you are a true Texans fan,
but somehow Kerry Collins doesn't get a thread of his own for his bad season.

I know the claim of rivalry, but no huge hatred for the best Titan teams with McNair/Eddie George etc.

Now you have newbs who claim that Vince Young isn't a decent human being.

Why does Vince Young evoke this? He even tells Houstonians to root for the Texans.

Let me know what Vince Young did publicly that was so bad that newbs think he's not a decent human being.

 

I don't think we are necessarily saying root for him instead of rooting for the Texans. I can remember being absolutely pissed when he ran that one in in OT his rookie season, and I'm a huge VY fan.

But so many people have personal vendettas against the man (see the moronic Shovel Face post above) that UT fans feel some sort of responsibility to stick up for him. I am sure that the VY fans would not feel the need to show him off if the VY haters weren't so loud and obnoxious.

This being said: I hope the Texans mutilate the Titans and Vince on Monday night in a few weeks.

i was responding to tinman's posts, which he likes to keep referencing the fact that VY is from Houston and why all the hate and something about him being a UT alum so that's why Houston fans hate him.

Zero NFL Championships for Texans and Titans (and don't give me this AFL ****. I'll form my own league with Clutch City Returns, and moestavern19, and we will get absorbed into the NBA. We would be better than Memphis.)

 

Perspective may have a lot to do with it.

But I think that in cases where Mario Williams/Texans are the point of discussion, the VY haters typically start things.

Where the Titans/Vince Young are the point of discussion, the VY lovers typically start things.

On a day like today, it's obvious which side had an axe to grind.

 

I have a friend in Cali who's a die hard USC alumni and he thinks it's the VY hate is so strange in Texas.

the guy brings the state it's first national championship in forever and reps his hometown. the mayor of the city of Houston declares Vince Young day and he gets to sit front row with Les Alexander at the Rockets game wearing a vintage Sam Cassell #10 jersey and people on Clutchfans 'hate him' because he plays for the Titans?

Newsflash. the Titans thing is BS. there's no 57 page thread about Steve McNair cause his Titan teams were far superior than the Titans teams today.

I forget sometimes that tinman is only to be taken in small doses and under the careful supervision of a doctor. And also to be avoided if you're pregnant, nursing, or taking blood thinners as this may cause an unsafe drop in blood pressure.
