The only thing Love has over LaMarcus is his age.

I'd take a 26 yr old Love over a 30 yr old LMA.

Don't know that I'd want Love if getting rid of Ariza is the only way to do it. LMA is a different story.

TBH no one comes close to touching us with a 3 of Harden, Love and Dwight

Just run the Harden- Love PnP to death and then you have Dwight o throw the alley oop to and wing shooters

    What are this guy's priorities?

Can't say winning. Can't leave Cleveland, LeBron, a Finals team and say my priority is "winning".

The guy? You were the guy in Minnesota and you "just wanted to win". Now you're possibly leaving Cleveland, while winning, but aren't "the guy".

    So....?

Maybe he stays in Cleveland and this is all overblown?

I thought Lebron only signed a 2 year deal. He could bolt on Love if he decides to sign long term.

You aren't giving Love enough credit. Of course his numbers were gonna go down from playing with Irving and Lebron. He is much better than his numbers suggest. He is an absolute beast on the boards, has a sweet jumpshot and is an actual post up option.

Not a fan of Love at all. I'd rather have Ariza.

Bima on twitter: Simplest way (mechanically) I see is to acquire Love via S&T involving Ariza, K-Pap + more (Jones/D-Mo/picks?). Would be extremely difficult to fit all of Dwight, Harden, Love (assuming max deal) & Ariza under cap. Hence, S&T.

Here is a hypothetical I did for LMA. The same applies for Love, he can take a one year deal at less than Max and cash in under the new cap figures.

If we do somehow end up with love i'd like to see what happens with Dmo, Jones and Smith.

I think we should hang on to Dmo, let Smith walk unless he signs back up on for cheap and trade Jones for a 3pt specialist Korver maybe. Milsap might walk after that mess of an ECF and they might need a starting PF.

    Love makes too much sense.

Our PFs don't play defense now, really - Smith does at times, but hasn't been great or anything, he works better in a tandem with Dwight than Jones, but that's not saying much.

But even without that defense, when the PFs play up to snuff, the team seems to do really well.

Kevin Love had his worse statistical year this year. For a 26 year old PF, often the brunt of "criticism" for Cleveland this year, who's absence doesn't seem to really matter a TON yet, who doesn't "fit" like he should... for legacy purposes, I think he has to look around, as noted.

The Celtics would be an interesting fit in that he'd be option 1a clearly. Question is, does he become middle of the road Eastern Conference fodder?

The fit for the Rockets is better than the fit for the Cavs. Why? Because Love won't be a good fit ANYWHERE with 2 ball dominant backcourt offensive wing players. See Cleveland with Lebron/Kyrie. This was the same problem with Bosh in Miami. To a lesser extent because Wade understand winning basketball much more than Irving, but still was true. I mean, you still need a solid player there. Love still had a 16pts/10reb year in his bad year, just as Bosh put up pretty good "down year" numbers. But to the extent Miami could have replaced Bosh with say Paul Millsap AND another player of Millsap's quality for depth, in the same contract space, I think they would have been better off. As is, they're "only" 2 championships still seems subpar.

TL;DR - Love SHOULD look around. Houston WOULD be a great fit. The Rockets SHOULD aggressively pursue Love.

Is Klove the "brother that is (still) out there" - that Doc has referenced in the past?

Don't want Love we would have to completely gut our team to make it work. We lose Ariza you can kiss our average D goodbye

Empty stats - no need for this guy.

Would rather have a guy who hustles, gets boards, and rebounds - like a Marrese Speights - for much cheaper.

Kevin Love is a good player, but I really would not want to give up Ariza.

    He's too valuable defensively.

And this team needs a guy like Ariza when he's playing with Harden.
