Getting Bledsoe is as simple as working out an SnT. Oops, sorry, nothing simple about that. Particularly within Conference.

I'd love to have Bledsoe; I'd also love to know what kind of roster they'll have if they retain all 9 PGs???

Nah, they'll just force him to play out the season leaving him with the uneasy possibliity of being injured during his contract year, whereas he could've had guaranteed money if he took their offer now.

sign and trade of Bev, DMo, and NOP pick would open that up to about $14-15 million right?

I'd consider Jones instead of DMo as well.

The Suns have Bledsoe in a corner and know it. The only way he leaves Phoenix is a SnT.

If a player isn't part of the "crazy early" money in free agency, he won't maximize his salary potential. Patience is not a virtue in this instance.

I'm thinking Rich Paul will have one less client going into next season

So that PHX would be afraid to match.

Kyrie just got a 90 mil dollar contract extension.

Bledsoe has every right to go after 80 mil.

What? Bledsoe isn't an all-star. Kyrie is. Bledsoe isn't worth close to max in my opinion.

Can Bledsoe take us to the next level? Giving him 16 mil per year isn't chump change...

Injuries withstanding, I'd rather have Bledsoe.

Methinks Bledsoe will settle for a 2yr deal somewhere with the understanding that he might qualify for a better max, or it not a max then at least a substantially better deal, by 2016.

One plays in the West one plays in the East.

Get out of here with that all-star crap. Offensively Kyrie numbers aren't that much better than Bledsoe and that is with Kyrie being the main option offensively.

Bledsoe is 10x the defender Kyrie is. Keep getting caught up in the all-star hype though.

Your point is very true, but comparing their salaries is a mistake IMO. Doesn't it seem like Kyrie got (over)paid in order to attract LeBron? Although Kyrie is young, he has never been able to even sniff the playoffs in the weak East. I feel like a (true) max player should be able to grab his team and take them to the playoffs (like Harden his 1st year with us).

Don't forget, he has played only 51, 59 and 71 games in each of his season. As concerning as Bledsoe's health is, Kyrie should be right up there.

If you consider the salary in that regard, it is easier to see why even PHX doesn't want to drop the max for him.

Well I did say Bledsoe should feel like he iw worth that much after seeing what Kyrie got but I agree neither should be getting paid that much. I don't think Kyrie got that deal to attract Lebron though.

To me, it was a sign of stability after all the rumors of a contentious season. It was a way for the organization to say, "See! Everything is Okay! We take care of our players!"

I believe that message was particularly important to Lebron (La Familia). It's the same reason Ilgauskas got his number retired and a cushy FO gig and Varejao has stuck around since Lebron's last tour of duty.

Bledsoe should sign a 4-year offer sheet elsewhere with a player option year 2 if possible. Then let Phoenix deal with it. Year 2 player option - Bledsoe controls his own destiny.

Lol, I can already see Morey at the press conference taking indirect shots at Parsons.

DM: See Jonathan Feigen, we would rather commit our final max contract to a two way player. If you are not an elite offensive player a la James Harden, we need you to at least be good at both ends of the floor. Bledsoe fit this need better than anyone we could've dreamed of. He's an excellent offseason, but an even better defender!

I forget who said it (maybe interview at summer league), but basically with the upcoming increases to payroll in the next few years, 'the seemingly overpriced max contracts being signed today are gonna to look like great deals on the backend of the contracts...'

maybe somebody gambles and gives Bledsoe max money... personally, I'd rather have Goran back... plus he goes along with this months acquisition theme of former players...
