Brooks is not a shoot first point guard because he looks for the open shooter, cutter etc. last night was a great example Scola was open and he was rewarded. This doesn't mean Brooks doesn't look for his shot because he obviously does and that makes him even more deadly.

most of the passes to Scola came from Trevor. AB still can't pass to the post (always been his problem)

AB always looks to score first and when he can't he passes it to Martin, Trevor/Shane.

hes neither a shoot first or pass first. He tends to shoot a lot because he is one of the best shooters and best options. But if someone else has a better shot, he will give it to them.

The nickname "shoot-first PG" (kind of sketchy anyways), does not imply that 100% of the time he shoots first.

People have stereotypical ideas about our team and about basketball in general which will be very hard to break.

    Examples:
-We have to have a pass first point guard with Yao
-Such and such wouldnt be good here because his current team sucks
-You have to have a 1st option, 2nd option, 3 option set in stone, nothing else
-We cant be good without Landry
-The % a player shoots is how good he is

You right, he is a combo guard.

I don't see why people hate aaron brooks so much. The kid is a great player and should be our starting PG until he declines.

I don't see how saying somebody is a shoot-first PG is hating on him.

Isiah Thomas, Mike Bibby, Sam Cassell, Tony Parker are all successful shoot first PGs (not saying Aaron will be like any of those guys, just saying in general).

I like AB. He is a very talented player. I just wish he improves on his decision making.

Shoot first point guards are only good when they are efficient offensively. How many times have we seen AB dribble away the shot clock without penetrating?

I see it every game I watch and I watch most of the games. AB needs to become a lot more disciplined to become a great scoring PG.

AB is a shoot first point guard. Last night was an exception because of the bad match-up with Devon Harris. The kid is 6'3", quick, and can ball...

Correct. He is actually a pass-first shooting guard. :)

Brooks definitly has problem passing to Yao. He needs to be told not to bounce pass to yao. That almost never works.

I think Brooks lack of height bothers his entry pass to Yao.
