I, for one, would welcome him back, give him a 2 year contract that is a bargain and see if he continues to blossom, he is only 23 years old, and is exactly the type of PF that we need.

Good rebounder, good weakside shot blocker and can shoot the 3pt shot.

Why not bring him back, he is maturing, why not do it here?

I'd take him back, but I could almost guarantee that we won't. I just don't see CD/JVG taking another chance w/ this guy after all he has done. After this last incident (which I personally don't find that bad), I see a lot of teams putting up the red flag on him.

I think that we should take the risk. We should hedge the risk by making John Lucas an assistant coach.

This is assuming the players we have want to put up with the possible distraction.

I'm pretty sure Griffin is a RFA. I wouldn't want him even if he weren't, but since he is I definitely wouldn't want to have to bid for him.

My hatred for Eddie Griffin and Scottie Pippen transcends basketball.

No, Griffin is a UFA. He signed a one year deal with the Wolves last season. The Wolves want to resign him but are going to have to dip into their MLE money to do it.

I think he has just as high a ceiling if not higher than Swift, and is in the process of maturing.

He is exactly the type of PF the Rockets need.

dada, you would take Griffin back on the Rox, but if one of your "talent" guys is smokin pot, you would fire him?

I'm just trying to see where your line is drawn. Attempted murder is cool, but having inhaled is not.

Dude fired a gun at someone. When is firing a gun at another person not attempted murder? Okay, maybe it was attempted hurting someone really bad. Thats much better.

I say sign him. He's listed at 6'10" 240lbs & is every bit as athletic as Swift, but won't cost us $9 million per year. If he's truely turned the corner, then he'd be the perfect PF to pair with Yao/T-Mac.

Has anyone watched him this last year? What's his low post game like, or does he have one? At 240lbs., is that additional muscle, or just weight?

I'd be fine with bringing him back to Harris County jail, but not the Toyota Center.

Damn, Dakota - do you have some kind of infatuation with Eddie Griffin??? I mean how many times are you going to beat this dead horse??

Give it up, seriously - the Rockets aren't going to take another chance on this loser and I doubt very seriously he would come back here anyway. Posting this drivel is akin to just hearing yourself talk simply for the sake that you love to hear your own voice.

The prosecutor didn't find any reason to charge him with attempted murder, so I don't think we should be throwing that accusation around. Assault is bad enough anyway.

He is scratched out of Jeff Van Gundy's little black book.

    Sorry, end of story.

Ya know... it's a fact that he fired a pistol at her - more than once.

I don't give a **** what the prosecutor says. To me, that's attempted murder, and anybody who says different has never fired a pistol before.
