He had to go. Sorry Shaw. Mike Antoni should not be considered. That would set them another 5 years back.
I agree with you bballholic, Josh Kroenke has made some bad basketball decisions, almost worse than Jim Buss and the Lakers.
Brian Shaw is a victim of what kills alot coaches . . . their system. Inflexibility... not having particular players, while molding his roster to fit into that system. I disagree with David West, because these are essentially George Karl's players. http://stevenlebron.com/post/23297497800/the-triangle-offense
Yep, I think organizations blame coach's for their incompetence too often. They get rid of key players but expect results to improve. Backwards logic

I think my Signature says it . . . .. I think it is time for .. . COACH SAM CASSELL!! Someone needs to give him a chance Rocket River
Uh oh. I hope they're not fired up under a new coach and beat the Rockets this Saturday. A lot of crappy teams play well for a few games after the previous coach is let go.
Kerr played for Phil but nothing about the Warriors reminds me of Phil at all. On the other hand, their offense is taken directly from the Spurs. Phil is known for the triangle, the Zen nonsense, etc. It hasn't translated to anyone else. Kerr had the good sense to borrow none of it.
I think it's clear that the triangle and the whole zen nonsense really only works when you have a really, really dominant and expressive perimeter player. It doesn't maximize talent, but it does help manage personalities when you have hyper-competitive guys like MJ or Kobe (and those are really the only two I can think of).
