CRUSHED! damn damn damn. 2013 has been a terrible year, outside of the Rockets signing Dwight Howard... FML. Sports Gods are killing us.
If you consider that "rolling the dice", then signing anybody is "rolling the dice" since injuries are so damn common.
How was this hit that went right towards taking cushs knee out not being talked about in the media? If it was legal then it shouldnt be.

Just got a text from Brian Cushing. Tough man! Broke his leg & tore his LCL, out for year. A ton of people have been talking about these types of injuries and how much more common they will be with all these new rules and people going lower.
Two years in a row. Two dirty season ending blocks at the knee inside the tackle box. The NFL has to do something about this. When you juxtapose it against Swearinger's personal foul on Smith, the NFL rules look ridiculous.
Any contract in the NFL is a risky contract especially when you consider that **** plays like that are completely legal. If you're saying that Cushing is potentially softer or more frail than others and should have walked away from that hit, I'm not sure I agree. It's freaking unlucky that's for sure.
I tore the lateral before and it's really wasn't that bad. I'm sure though that it depends on the extent of the tear.
$$$$$$$$ has to do with everything. you clown, no way any of these fools would play this sport unless it made them rich for many generations.
They like to take care of their guys before or at the start of the season. They will do the same with Watt next year. I'm not against it. Cushing was very effective on the surgically repaired knee. This was a fluke injury.
Yeah, no reason, except for the fact he is the most important player on your entire defense and an all-pro. Do you think they wouldn't sign him to a new contract because of this injury? Get real.
Its a fact, he cant seem to make it thru a game much less a season. Im a cush fan but it may be time to consider retirement. Healing legs and kneees and lcls and acls is one thing but the concussions will only get worse.
Why would we sign him to a long term extension before he could prove he could stay healthy. It's not like we got a discount. He's a top 5 paid ILB now...
no reason because it's a BUSINESS. you act as if cushing gave us a discount or something. we made him a top paid ILB.
