When I used to play rugby league back in the day...if someone pulled a low dirty dog act like that, he was going to feel the hurt real bad. As a Christian I'll stop right there before I post something I regret. Get well soon Cush
Didn't see the play live, from the short replay on youtube it looked like he fell down and took down Cushings by accident. The Jets will probably use that excuse.
Slauson with a pathetic play, what a P.O.S. The offense is going to have to step up even more and up the time of possession by 4 more minutes to help out the D even more.
God dammit. I've been scared we might lose him. No replacing his ability to clean up anything that got through the line. Massive blow. Get better, Cush.
Big difference from Cushing to Schaub is that Cushy provides emotion and energy. Schaub provides that too, but his talent separates him from Yates. When Schaub was injured, the offense changed, more to the run than pass plays. I imagine when Cushing is out, the defense remains the same, but 1 key we have is that JJ Watts is the guy that will provide that fire. It is a loss, but not a loss to the SuperBowl. It hurts, but it is only a road bump, but if anymore of the defense player goes down. I'd worry, but now we are still the class of the NFL.

I wonder what time the MRI is. Wishful thinking that the MRI shows something different than what's expected.
You know, F it, I'm calling it now. Cushing's injury is not season ending. He does not go on IR, and he will be ready for the playoffs. And the Texans are starting 6-0. And winning the whole damn thing. And JJ breaks the sack record. Book it!
One of the first things that came to my mind. I hope so but I don't think they'll experiment with it.
I think it was an illegal block, obviously, but I wouldnt necessarily say it was dirty. I just think Slausen was slow reacting to block Cushing...got there late and ended up making an illegal block. That's what happens when you have someone as athletic as Cushing and someone as unathletic as Slausen.
Woke up thinking this might have been a bad dream. Can't believe the Houston sports curse never fails.
There are basic tests you can do to figure out an injury...you dont need to wait for results to figure out a severe knee injury. The results will just verify torn ACL, MCL, PCL, etc... Cushing is done.
