Bill O'Brien after separating from his wife:

"Sources in the know state Bill O'Brien has an extremely long and thick penis. Sources state women should not be scared away by his girth or rugged bad boy exterior, because he is a gentle and considerate lover that intuitively knows how to please young women. He is disease and drug free and ready to play according to sources."

Of course all these positive leaks about BOB are coming from BOB. The guy is considered very arrogant. Hub Arkish recently said he is about as arrogant as anyone in coaching.

Well we would if the people running the Texans weren't acting like they are on a message board fighting with each other

You don't know and won't know because the organization is dysfunctional without clearly defined roles. As it is, whoever survives can place all the failures on the scapegoat removed from the equation.

I find these to be just stupid in general. Imagine if Savage had played incredibly well and is still the starter, bet you'd never hear the "BOB wanted Watson to start day 1" story then. If BOB was truly that much into Watson he'd have stuck to his guns and started him day 1. Clearly he also wants a buffer so he doesn't get blamed if things had gone wrong. This is just petty politics and really makes everyone looks childish. I mean for Christ sakes the Texans have never had more hype on their QB since the dawn of the organization. And THIS is what they have to leak to the media?

Oh c'mon now, Rick has no decisionmaking power at all? I'll believe Pinocchio before I'll listen to random "Pat on Facebook"

You do know there are guys on 610AM and 790AM who played for Rick, right?

O'Brien spelled the power structure out very clearly two years ago. Nobody disputed it. McClain has done the same many times, as recently as yesterday: Smith finds the players, and Bill O'Brien and his staff coach them.

There's never been a question that Rick wanted Watson badly. When he traveled to watch him play in college he at times brought so many people with him there weren't enough seats blocked off for the entourage to sit in together. Obvious man crush was obvious.

Pat on FB, lol. Hey, I found a picture of "Pat on Facebook"

I think we might’ve gotten ahead of ourselves in the whole ‘who’s to blame’ thing cause it doesn’t actually look like Rick said no to Deshaun starting, rather he said to make sure he’s was 100% cause there would be no going back. Whether that or whatever else is true or false all of this crap is pointless and irrelevant. Deshaun is the starter, he looks amazing doing that, everyone should be happy.

Yes, there's actually no blaming at all except in the clickbaity title.

Article says they discussed and agreed.

I don't get having to apologize for starting Savage. "How could you not see Watson was this good!" is such a simpleton, hindsight take. Savage was clearly the better QB in the preseason. Anyone who saw the games would know that.

Yeah no blaming happening whatsoever. It's just a coincidence that when criticism starts being lobbed at OBrien about something there are articles that comes out that absolve him of the blame and put it on Smith in a "collaborative" way.

Prior to last year the articles were all basically the same. OBrien watched game tape of Osweiler and decided he had to have him. He and Smith agreed. Obrien didn't like any QBs in the draft. Then Osweiler stinks up the joint and suddenly the reports shifted a little to "OBrien had to be talked into Osweiler by Smith" and then at the end of the year it was "OBrien never wanted Osweiler. Rick Smith forced him on him." McClain swears by his original story that they both wanted him, but other reporters in town say the opposite.

It's all just a big coincidence.

Pre-OBrien nothing leaked at all about what the coaches or GM wanted. Since Obrien there are CONSTANT leaks and almost none of them ever put any blame on OBrien.

    Just a coincidence!

Wait...he doesn't need to apologize for not starting Watson because even a simpleton knows Savage was better?

    OR

He doesn't need to apologize for not starting Watson because he said after Game 1 he wanted to start him?

    LOL

If even a simpleton knew Savage was better that doesn't say anything good for OBrien because he thought Watson was better haha.

Ah the useless OB vs Rick debate, where literally no one has concrete evidence of anything. We don't know who wanted or didn't want or said or didn't say behind closed doors. Such a pointless discussion. Carry on!

I agree that we have no clue who wanted what. I won't pretend to know, I'm only commenting on the constant leaking that surrounds this team since Obrien was hired.

Add Watson to that camp because he said he didn't have any time with the ones. So is he lying?

For those that actually watched the draft.... when they originally cut to the Texans' war room, NO ONE was smiling. When Smith realized he was on camera (there was the live feed delay), he put on that big smile. Anybody trying to make anything else out of the shot is grasping at straws.

The old classic publicity stunt... O'Brien had, has and will continue to have full control of who starts.
