And the ONE guy who thought he was worth the extra first round pick is the one that didn't think he was worthy to be a starter???

Yeah doesn't add up. At all. Just the same as all the stuff about OBrien didn't want Brock yet he repeatedly started him way past the time he had to.

Maybe BOB was ready to leave after the pic but Rick said not yet. Picture doesn’t mean much to me.

Smith nailed this year's draft. Deshaun, Cunningham, Foreman. Smith isn't going anywhere. He might be asking for a raise.

Doesn't BOB control who plays and who sits....? Isn't that the whole division of labor between HC & GM?

Brock last year and all the leaks about how he didn't want him.

After the Mallet debacle there were leaks that O'Brien wanted to cut him but Rick wanted to wait a week.

Leaks about how Rahim Moore and Graham were Rick signings. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...sg=AFQjCNEFlwF8dVj_vQ9cnPFQmhDe9YnfAQ&ampcf=1

Before last year's playoff game vs oak there were tons of leaks about how OBrien hates it here and so many teams would hire him.

There was a leak after the Jax blowout that Rick didn't want to do anything to bring Duane back.

It wasn't just a picture, it was video. And it meant enough for reporters to ask O'Brien about it at the press conference following the 1st round.

And there were multiple reasons to believe Mahomes was O'Briens pick.

That's absolutely not true. It ended closer to 40/60 than anybody reported, with Weeden getting virtually no reps at all except as camp arm.

I know it's McClain so take it for what it's worth. But the whole BoB wanting/not wanting Brock is heavily disputed.

I don't see how this was trying to take credit or blame anyone. In this particular situation, think most people would agree that Rick actually did the right thing.

    Will give you this one.

Once again, not sure how this is taking credit or blaming. Hell we won the game.

I couldn't care less. One thing: for a guy who puts on the front of "oh this team doesn't care what the media thinks" he is sure a sensitive guy. Not that there is anything at all wrong with that, I like it. You can just see right through it and I think it's funny.

OB pulled a similar stunt just before he left Penn State blaming the "Paterno" guys.

lol Nice reverse psychology. Most on here do the exact same opposite. The easiest way to differentiate is that the GM is responsible for talent evaluation, draft, and free agency with consultation with the coaches. That means Smith should get credit for the good picks and blame for the bad picks. O'Brien is responsible for roster decisions and on the field play.

This just proves that O'Brien is leaking things himself to make him look better. He has a track record of doing things just like this. Not sure why, perhaps he's leaving his options open so that if he does decide to leave the Texans he will be able to get another job.
