    I have been to that church. Charleston is one of my favorite cities. Damn.

    **** this. **** the NRA "gun culture" that so many cling to, you know who you are and you are pathetic. It would be very easy to drastically decrease the number of illegal firearms in the US, it can't happen as things stand now, though. [/D&D] [/sorry]

    The local news feed is just saying a guy in his 20's. I'm guessing that "21 years old" was an error.

    Is this really necessary?

    Yeah, black people don't commit mass murders. Only white people and Muslims. That concept is about as productive as the idea within the black community that mental health problems should be dealt with alone or through the church.

    This psycho probably had a racist motive but saying stuff like "I knew a white guy did it without any facts" is unnecessary and hateful.

    Just saying, and I really don't want to make this a point of discussion, but can you name me the last "spree" shooter who was black? Or Hispanic? Disregarding terrorism-related crap like the DC snipers...statistically and realistically they are typically white males.

    That's just a natural reaction, natural initial thought to have.

    I don't think you were being spiteful but it's a myth and it is inherently racist (I don't think you're racist). Mass/serial killings are not particular to white people. I can't do much research on my phone ATM but:

    Mass killers and serial killers aren't the same things. However, if serial killers mirror the population then most serial killers are white since most Americans are white.
