    Lamar Odom is fighting for his life after falling into unconsciousness at Dennis Hof's Love Ranch South in Pahrump, Nevada ... TMZ Sports has learned.

    Sources at the Love Ranch tell us ... 35-year-old Odom arrived at the Ranch on Saturday and was partying with the girls for days. A source at the Ranch said Lamar was taking an herbal substitute for Viagra.

    We spoke with Hof ... who tells us on Tuesday afternoon, a woman went into Odom's room in the VIP suites and found him unconscious. The woman rolled the former NBA star over and saw fluid streaming out of his mouth.

    An ambulance took Lamar to Pahrump hospital, where doctors intubated him ... an indication he could not breathe on his own.

    We're told Lamar is being airlifted from the hospital to Las Vegas for more treatment.

    Our sources tell us, "It doesn't look good."[/rQUOTEr]

    Rest at ease my brother! I love Lamar and the way he respected my house by taking his shoes off before he entered. Granted, I wasn't living in Beverly Hills at the time, but I respected his gesture. It was a grand time and I appreciate you talking to me about "The Franchise" (aka Steve Francis).

    It is sad news and I hope he survives and gets back to normal BUT

    I can't say this is surprising news or I'm surprised. The last 3 or 4 years have just trended downward for him and if i recall correctly didn't he lose two of his close friends just in the past year? (or maybe one friend-Jamie).
    Not surprising at all but hopefully he survives and gets help with his demons.

    Not that I've taken any of these herbal supplements, but many of these Viagra substitutes are filled with things like ephedra like substances that can cause issues with the heart. I've seen a few patients in the ER with things like this. Most of them don't even realize these things are dangerous when combined with other everyday items like coffee.

    He was a seriously cool dude to talk to. I once talked to him after a Lakers game(the year the Saints won the Super Bowl) and we just talked NFL while he was in the locker room after the game and everyone else was in a hurry to leave.

    I'm sure you found him an easy cat to talk to as well. No airs about him, respectful and all. What happened with him in Dallas was a real surprise (him being unprofessional there) and maybe that was the beginning of his troubles.

    A herbal sub for Viagra did this?

    Have heard you shouldn't take it with alcohol.

    Have also heard that these alleged 'herbal subs for Viagra' (generally packaged as Tiger King or something like that and from China) are actually rip offs that are loaded with about 3-4 times the amount in the prescription med.

    They purport on the packaging that they contain stuff like Rhino Horn. But really it's all filler and cheap sildenafil.
