Can anyone recommend a great place for breakfast on Christmas morning? I'd prefer a place that's not going to be filled with kids. It'll just be the wife and I. And early that day she'll be heading out to see her fam and I'll be heading out to see mine. So I'd like us to do something Christmas morning. Other than IHOP/Denny's I don't know what place will be open. Anyone know of good places that will be open? Good food and good atmosphere preferred!
Funny . . . .. I have no idea what a traditional [or nontraditional] Chinese Breakfast is like I've only eaten like dinner/lunch/etc food . . . .nothing breakfasty Rocket River
You'll probably be better off making her breakfast yourself. Doubt you will find anything open that day that isn't packed or of low quality. Eggs, grits, bacon, and biscuits and you will be golden.
Yep, or prep the veggies and stuff for an omelette the night before, can cook it in 20 mins. Or bagels with cream cheese, salmon, chives, red onion. And bloody marys. Or, since yall are driving, mimosas. But seriously, Jewish deli. Don't know of one offhand, since I don't know where you are, but other than chinese restaurants and 24 hour greasy spoons, that's about all that will be open.
That's a really good suggestion but a bit out of the way. I'm in Houston but way northwest, bordering Cypress. If there's something in the NW or West/Memorial area that'd be easier.
Peñas Donut Heaven and Grill in Pearland. Luis Scola used to go there when he lived in Shadow Creek Ranch. Shaq has been there. I love it. They have a huge and loyal following. Don't know if they will be open Christmas morning, but it's easy enough to check. Peñas Donut Heaven and Grill https://www.facebook.com/pages/Penas-Donut-Heaven-Grill/128182123873493?sk=timeline
Egg foo young with sriracha is the bomb. That and some good soup for breakfast is usually what was for breakfast when I worked at the Chinese restaurant.
