O'Brien: Miller will play a lot of different places. Slot, outside, 3rd WR, special teams.

Definitely what I was thinking. BUT remember his backup, Kenny Guiton? (My cousin btw ) well he's a grad assistant at UH. Not confirming this but he could've talked to Braxton and that probably was a reason he already liked Houston.

But back to what you said, yes, players actually wanting to come to Houston is exciting. And someone posted Cardale Jones tweet and from what it seemed, he might want to come to Houston too. If he falls to us in the 5th, I think we should grab him.

Will Fuller posted a photoshopped picture of himself in a Texans uniform back a couple of months ago....

Cardale Jones just wants to have a job in the NFL anywhere. If we picked him, what would he even do? TE? He's like a dumber version of Tim Tebow.

Now the Texans can pull off a "WR Pass" trick play.

Not a chance. But I can see BOB using him as a wildcat QB here & there. I think he wants to play around with that idea more. Didn't BJ Daniel get a few snaps in the wildcat in a game toward the end of last season? And then there was that joke of a JJ Watt at wildcat QB play against KC in the playoff game.

    Awesome pick!

So excited about this offense. The possibilities...the slot, and occasional wild cat!

CBS Sports: In this round, that's a nice pick by the Texans. They got a lot of help for Brock Osweiler. (B+)

Yahoo: The Texans have added playmakers and speed on offense with Miller, Will Fuller and Lamar Miller, which is music to the ears of Brock Osweiler and Deandre Hopkins. Hopkins no longer must see constant tricked-up coverages, and Miller’s playmaking ability can be used sparingly until Bill O’Brien’s staff is convinced he has made enough growth as a wide receiver. Grade: B

USA Today: The Buckeyes' former quarterback is raw as a receiver but not short on ability. At 6-1, 201, he has good size and caught 25 passes last year. He still needs to learn the nuances of the position, specifically route running, but the two-time Big Ten offensive player of the year has very good speed (4.5 in the 40) and could develop into something special.

SI: Grade B+. Potential-wise, this is an A+ pick—Miller has an unbelievable ceiling that he only just started to scratch as a wide receiver. As a fit, it's a little more wait-and-see because of the Will Fuller selection on Day 1. Will he get enough opportunities? And when is Houston going to help its defense?

    ESPN: What he brings:
Miller, who started his career at quarterback before switching to receiver for his final season, is one of the most explosive and natural athletes in this class. He has an excellent combination of speed and separation quickness and is one of the most dangerous runners with the ball in his hand from this class. With just one season at receiver under his belt, Miller still needs some development as a route runner. He comes with some minor durability issues; however, he has a chance to become a versatile weapon both on offense and on special teams in the return game. -- Kevin Weidl

    How he fits:
General manager Rick Smith continues to surround free-agent signing quarterback Brock Osweiler with weapons as he took Notre Dame wide receiver Will Fuller in the first and now he takes Miller in the third. Miller has the potential to develop into explosive slot receiver and dangerous after threat after the catch for the Texans. He should get plenty of room to work with DeAndre Hopkins and Fuller stretching the field on the outside. -- Steve Muench

Rotoworld: The Texans have dramatically remade their offense this offseason, signing QB Brock Osweiler and RB Lamar Miller in free agency before drafting WRs Will Fuller and Braxton Miller in the first three rounds. Miller (6'1/201) spent five years as a Buckeye, the first three at quarterback, the fourth as an injury redshirt recovering from shoulder surgery, and the fifth at receiver, catching 26 passes for 341 yards (13.1 YPR) and three touchdowns. An explosive athlete, Miller ran 4.5-flat at the Combine with a 10-foot-3 broad jump and elite agility scores. Miller generated a ton of buzz early in the pre-draft process, but he's a project still learning a new position. Once he grasps wideout, Miller will offer big-play ability and YAC potential in the slot. We're just not convinced he'll be able to contribute right away.

Apparently BoB worked with him all day when they came on a visit to Ohio State.

Tom Herman his former QB coach is in Houston. As well as former teammate John Simon and Mike Vrabel was a defensive coach there at Ohio State as well.

I think whatever happened between him and BoB is the biggest factor tho. Must feel he will be able to grow the most here.

As I've said before, O'Brien will get this kid 50-100 touches this year between everywhere where he'll play. He's a threat for a big play every time. And he'll only develop more and into a better receiver.

We finally have a legit return man again.

Can't believe the value. Excellent pick.

O'Brien has put his stamp on this team, finally, with this draft.

This is a very unTexans like pick and that excites me. Teams have to game plan for him now. Total wildcard

I like all the picks we've made. Texans have made a very exciting offseason and let's hope it translates to the field.
