i think "world class athletes" is thrown around too much in pro sports. I think most stars probably are, but a lot of pro athletes, aren't THAT great as athletes, just good at that game. I think Roy is still fairly young and a lot of young guys still dont watch what they eat and arent too strict about living healthier, training religiously, etc like they are later in their careers. MJ probably doesnt have that great of a game at a younger age. either way we'll see, i dont think it'll matter either because i dont think he got that sick, they pretty much guaranteed he'd be ready for the game.
If he really does have the flu, he needs to sit out and stay away from everyone. Its getting crazy here.
is there some government agency that takes tips from individuals who suspect certain people are infected with some communicable disease, I'd like to give them a call and relay this information about B.Roy.
We are talking about B.ROY. not Tslack.....u already kno hes gonna play...swine flu, avian flu, or blue balls ne way it goeS!
If Roy really does have the flu, we can expect him to drop 40 again on us. I've watched a lot of players with the flu play above and beyond their average. Must be something about not thinking too much which helps them to stroke it.
You know, the more I think about it, this has the making of a great Portland wrap-up after game 5. "Brandon Roy stuns Rockets and the Flu to make it to Game 6" kind of headline. I hope it doesn't happen. Rockets need to get that killer instinct and step on some necks.
The problem is that people are saying that Rockets is now a better team without a 20 million dollar player.
