Might as well rename it the 2015 Celtics Draft. .... With the 4th pick the Celtics select... With the 5th pick the Celtics select... With the 6th pick the Celtics select... With the 7th pick the Celtics select... .....
Yeah them acquiring Wright given his age and contract means their trying to push into contention and are less likely to trade dragic. Doesn't mean he won't leave in FA but the PHX FO is betting on him staying. Wonder what they're going to pay him. Acquiring wright assuming no other salary gets moved gets them close the the cap. If they offer dragic a market value contract that doesn't leave much room left for flexibility. Wonder what they plan to do to improve to get into the top tier of contenders in the west.
Len has stepped up. If he's not than Dmo now, he'll be season's end. What they need is some shot blocking/rim protection off the bench which Plumlee doesn't give. If Wright fits they could package Plumlee for a SG/SF upgrade.
I think the Suns are misguided. They are going "all in" for what? The 8th seed? If OKC gets it's act somewhat together, Suns will still miss the playoffs. They need a master plan to win a championship instead of this short-sighted year-to-year nonsense of being the 9th seed.

We will see. Wright was great for Dallas, not really doing much in Boston. May well be a great fit in PHO, but you never know until guys actually get on the floor.

Rumor: Houston Rockets may make run at Phoenix Suns' Goran Dragic http://thestashed.com/2015/01/09/rumor-rockets-looking-acquire-suns-guard-goran-dragic/ http://arizonasports.com/41/1797389/Rumor-Houston-Rockets-may-make-run-at-Phoenix-Suns-Goran-Dragic
we already knew this and these were written before the wright trade. phx is going all in to make the playoffs. there's pretty much 0% chance dragic is traded unless the suns go on a 20 game losing streak before the deadline
This will likely be 2017 and 2018 Minny 2nd Rounders. Not a bad price for Wright who will be a UFA and could still walk. I'd imagine this doesn't totally take Dragic off the table (for us) as PHX would love to acquire another asset as insurance against Dragic and Wright leaving this summer. Having said that, this is likely a last ditch effort by PHX to make the playoffs. If they aren't in the hunt by the trade deadline, anything is possible
