IMO probably the best signing so far today considering what he brings, what Memphis needs off the bench and at the price they got him at. SouthBEST is getting tougher up top
Not even 6 million a year. Wow. Memphis needs more offense though. Couldn't hurt to sign more big men, but I thought they'd try to go for wing players.
Phoenix is stupid, why sign an aging Chandler to a long term deal when Wright could've been retained for far less?
Wright's best ever season in the NBA is 4.3 rebounds per game (average 3.7 over 7 seasons). Chandler's worst ever season in the NBA is 4.8 rebounds per game (average 9.3) It's a fairly significant upgrade - Wright is a bit part player, Chandler is a 'proper' starter as a rim protector and rebounder. Good deal for Memphis, Wright will be useful for his 15-20ish minutes
Because they think they can make the playoffs next year with healthy Knight, Bledsoe and Tyson along with having a shot to get LMA.
One of the most overrated players in this forum's history. I've never seen an 8 year veteran get treated like some sort of high ceiling, emerging talent - lulz. Y'all put Wright up there with Langhi in terms of unwarranted hype. Good value here though but the Grizzlies still need scoring. This doesn't move the needle for them.
Solid guy for his role. He's not expected to do too much with Marc and Z-Bo. Would give a different type of threat for Conley to work with in PnR. I like it.

Told y'all this jabroni sucked. Dude can barely get on the floor, but for some weird reason y'all were BEGGING for him.
