The MVP award this year has suddenly become a "here take it" instead of a celebration of Harden's season. They don't even talk about Harden anymore. It stops at, "Harden is going to win it, but Lebron though!!" Harden and the Rockets are breaking records too, but they couldn't careless.

We get all this Lebron propaganda about Lebron being 33 years of age and not dead.

That is what is kind of frustrating now. Rockets are the #1 seed, Harden leads the league in scoring and is 3rd in assists. He is having an MVP season. Just give him HIS DUE right now. It is HIS time for the spotlight.

To get talking about Harden again you get the feeling he is going to have to have some good games on the upcoming nationally televised matchups - SAS on Sunday and the Thunder next Saturday.

They COULD be talking about the WSJ's new article on Harden's Stepback 3 which I though was fascinating. That MOVE is helping propel him to the MVP. That is a LEGIT talking point and could be very interesting.

At the end of the season "Hey we finally gave you one can all the Rockets fans now shut up please? Also Harden chokes in the playoffs and LeBron is still the best player and the Rockets have way too much talent but I guess it's Harden's turn so we'll give it to him."

yeah thats the weird thing, there is absolutely a noticeable lack of talk for Harden this year. The way the last few MVPs were propped up by major media outlets compared to this year is obvious the bias in the media. I've seen and heard more about the MVP runner ups in Lillard, Davis and James then any news about Harden.

It was funny when Portland beat GS just before the AS game to give the Rockets the best record in the NBA Sportscenter started by saying "We were going to talk about the Jazz first but since Golden State lost we have to talk about the Rockets" Like the Rockets 10 game streak was not enough to be a lead SC story.

Its a shame because Harden has had a great season, but I will say that part of this is a product of the lack of postseason success and the label that he "chokes" in the postseason. The only thing that you could say is bothersome is that AD has even less postseason success, Westbrook has not gotten further than the WCF since Harden left (that too he was on a team that lost a 3-1 lead). If the Rockets make it far this year then things make change next year, but it would require IMO the Rockets to actually beat GS in the playoffs or making the finals (if for some reason another team knocks off GS earlier than the WCF)

Harden dropped 41 in the 2nd night of a B2B at Miami last month. He also scored 36 the night before in Brooklyn. Oh, and the Rockets won both games, unlike the Cavs. And they were in the middle of a 17-game winning streak.

James Harden winning the MVP and Finals MVP! no point of debating and listening to dumbass people on ESPN.

Leborn plays with weak East, Harden in Strong west. Leborn relies on big to join. He is just a good player but not a top player

**** the media. Listening to the Cavs/Pelicans game and I hear Doris and the other fool talking about the MVP. Doris asks the guy if he thinks James should be MVP and the ****er says absolutely just because of all the BS adversity the Cavs have had this season. I'm usually not triggered by the **** but **** the media and **** ESPN and **** every mother****er that doesn't both for Harden as MVP. **** them all.
