I normally don't read Bleacher Report, but I have to say this one is not bad. From what I've been watching they are becoming as scary as the likes of OKC and Heat. It almost feels like you can't score against them. I really hope we don't get them on the first round. But looking at how Blazers are bombing and Grizzlies and Clippers are dominating. It's becoming more and more ominous that we are becoming the Clippers of last year.

Rockets need to stay at 4th. Grizzlies won't catch up to the Warriors who will be 5th IMO. If the Rockets move up to 3rd the possibility is real that they face Memphis.

I don't see us facing the Grizzlies in Round 1 if we remain in 4th place. They're not gonna pass Portland and Golden State. Now if we wind up in 3rd place on the other hand....

In the month of March Grizzlies have only lost 3 games and they were only to Miami, the high morale and rising Raptors and Nets.
Blazers have lost 7 games and one of which was to the LA Lakers.
Warriors have lost only 4 games but one of them was to Cavs...

Grizzlies are only 2 games behind Blazers and 1 game behind Warriors in terms of losses. It is VERY likely they get to 5th seed.

If not for Marc Gasol's injury Memphis would easily be a top 4 team in the West. We'd better hope they don't pass Portland or GS and put themselves in a favorable position to play us.

I'm really hoping the Grizzlies play the Clips in round 1. I think Memphis would have a chance, and I would love if the Clips are out of the playoffs since we matchup worse against them than any other team (OKC is in the running in that category as well though).

Also, those two teams hate each other, and it is always fun to watch a playoff series where the two teams hate each other. I am hoping for OKC vs GS for the same reasons.

Out of OKC/CLIP/GRIZ, this is a team we may have a chance. Asik is key to matchup with their front court, or TJ if he could improve the outside shot and use more plays effectively.

Again, with the emergence of D-Mo and the return of Asik the Griz would have little chance against Houston. If they cannot decisively win in the paint they are not going to beat this Rockets squad.

Nobody wants to play anybody in the west, with the exception of Portland, Phoenix, Dallas. I could actually see Phoenix with Bledsoe beating GSW.

Not afraid of Memphis... nor anyone in the top 3.

We'll be fine as long as we don't end up facing Miami in the first.

    "Do not want." - Rockets

Memphis is good. Zach Randolph has wet dreams about being matched up against TJones and DMo.

I'd like to see them beat up on SA, LAC or OKC in the first round.

Everyone outside of Portland is dangerous in the West.

Yes, Memphis is physical and plays hard... but they also have huge dry spells where they cannot score. They are certainly beatable, it just takes focus.

The key to beating Memphis is controlling the pace, the Grizzlies have a fairly poor offense, so they want to keep the game at a snails pace and they want to make it as sloppy as possible. If you speed the pace up and run on them, you win. Easier said than done, but no one ever said it would be easy.
