What??? He kicked him off the sideline as soon as he found out what happened. More proof though that people will find any lame-ass excuse to hate on the program for ridiculous things.
Choklahoma getting the brakes beat off them currently. Go Clemson! Always thought their defense was overrated but they've been amazing thus far.
I'm not usually one to complain about announcers. I think they often get too much crap. But I've noticed over the last couple of weeks that I absolutely cannot stand Ed Cunningham as an analyst. Every other sentence out of the guy's mouth starts like this: "When I studied this team..." or in response to a point made by the play-by-play guy: "...that's something I noticed when I studied these two teams." We get it, Ed. You do film study before you call games. I know I've listened to him do games before, so maybe I've just never noticed before or maybe he's turned it up to 11 as of late. Either way, it's irritating.
SEC-W beats up on itself and everyone is like, meh, they must suck, overrated. Then they finally play other people... Did Swoopes wind up gaining a positive inch of offense at least? Quarter inch? Anything?

It sure seems that way. I thought that the win over Alabama in the bowl game last season might have bought him some more goodwill and/or re-energized him a little bit, but this season was just painful. Sure, they dealt with A TON of injury issues, but I don't think you can put it all on that. More than Stoops losing his fastball, I think both OU and Stoops need a clean break and a fresh start. He didn't just forget how to be a head coach and I think in another place, he could have big-time success again. Likewise, OU is still a blue blood program that should be in the national championship conversation each year. Perhaps more of an OU expert can enlighten me on this, but is some of this slump for the program due to the coordinator attrition OU has continued to suffer. The number of coordinators they've had go on to other jobs during Stoops' tenure is staggering. Sometimes, even the best of coaches can't continue to hit home runs when it comes to coordinator hires.
Seriously doubt it. It's not that I have that much confidence in Maryland; I don't. But I just can't see Stanford outscoring ANYONE by 14 points, particularly now that they will be without Ty Montgomery, their most dynamic receiving threat.
Finally time for all the good "New Year's Six" games today and tomorrow. I'll take TCU, Arizona and Georgia Tech in a mild upset tonight.
They need to do a better job scheduling these games. Too many good ones on 1 day and too many bad ones on others. I don't get it.
Too many bowls altogether, amirite? 3 good games today, 3 good games tomorrow, the rest [outside of obviously the championship game]...meh. ___________________ Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl (9)Ole Miss vs. (6)TCU Atlanta | Georgia Dome Wednesday, December 31 | 11:30 a.m. | ESPN VIZIO Fiesta Bowl (20)Boise State vs. (10)Arizona Glendale, Ariz. | University of Phoenix Stadium Wednesday, December 31 | 3 p.m. | ESPN Capital One Orange Bowl (7)Mississippi State vs. (12)Georgia Tech Miami Gardens, Fla. | Sun Life Stadium Wednesday, December 31 | 7 p.m. | ESPN
