Former Patriots quarterback Rohan Davey will work out for the Houston Texans this weekend, according to his agent Joel Segal.

"We're talking to a handful of teams, there are quite a few interested," Segal said.

David Carr, the No. 1 choice of the 2002 draft, is atop the Texans' depth chart at quarterback. Veteran Tony Banks (10th season) and Dave Ragone (3rd year) are the primary backups.

Interesting that they are going work him out cosidering they have 3 QB's already. If they do sign him, I think Tony Banks should get cut. He has had a horrible preseason and he doesn't seem to know how to lead a team.

That makes one person working out. Now what about the other fifty.

I was kinda surprised Rohan Davey was cut. It seemed like he performed pretty decent every time he stepped on the field, but I haven't really kept track of him recently.

There are a couple of teams Banks could start for this year. To say he should be cut is silly. I like Ragone but if Carr goes down and they had to rely on Ragone there season would be over. Keeping a guy around who could start for a couple of teams is a good decision. Look at Chicago, with the loss of Grossman their season already looks finished.
