He is open to re-signing with Houston and Dallas. I inferred it on that because:

    1) The Rockets have more money.
    2) The Rockets are 19-5 while the Mavs are 19-8.
    3) James Harden
    4) Dwight Howard picked Houston over Dallas
    5) Dirk Nowitzki will be 37.
    6) Cuban really wants him now. He knows he will pick the Rockets (if we can't get Dragic) over Dallas in the off-season.

Im not a huge Rondo fan, love his defensive intensity and ability to create chances for his teammates but he would just shrink the floor and clog up the lane for Howard, D-mo and Harden. Plus Beverly has become our spiritual leader so I think benching him for someone else, be it Rondo or Dragic, would really throw off our chemistry which is the one of the main reasons we have played so well this year.
I think we need a playmaker off the bench which Dragic would be perfect for if he was willing to accept that role. He could be a 6th man of the year candidate. That is the kind of player in that role that pushes teams to championship runs. Someone with the ability to come off the bench and create their own shot and get others open. Lin showed flashes of that last year but was just to turnover prone.

This. Beverly fought ferociously for his spot and more than earned it. Yes he lacks court vision, but Kostas and Dmo showed enough potential to create to compensate for that. Other than passing, he's a perfect fit. Don't want Rondo.

I would bet DMo is gone if we bring in Rondo.

then we'd have to be getting Green back in the deal too... Rondo for DMO is a bad move for us IMO...opens up a major hole (AGAIN!) at PF when DMO has more than adequately filled it, and we aren't hurting that bad for a defensive PG as we have one in P. Bev (who can also shoot the 3 and Fts at a much higher clip).

I don't get all the Rondo saliva trickling on this board... I'd rather go for Gogi and keep DMO IMHO

Here in D/FW...I was listening to sports radio and they said the Mavs Twitter is now following Rondo. They were making a big stink about it because the Mavs Twitter is only following current and former Mavs. So, they were getting all excited like Rondo becoming a Mav was almost a done deal or else why did Mavs follow him? They said Mavs don't follow non-Mav players. lol

It sucks that Rondo is a Mav but I still think the Rockets are better than the Mavs.

For people that understand BBall...Rondo to Dallas is going to be terrific for Dallas. They are a complete starting 5. Mark Cuban made sure that Rondo at all costs will NOT be in the Houston uniform. Yes he sacrificed a bench and size, but having an elite play maker for Dirk, Chandler and Tyson is going to make them very dangerous. Great move by Dallas.

Boston totally gaffed this up. Had a chance to get better pieces, instead settled on Brendon Wright and Crowder plus Dallas 1st...lolllllllll
