You're not really adding anything positive to the discussion. You're just bashing random people for their opinions and half of them were from 1 guy who is a known troll. Kinda funny that you made yourself look dumb trying to act like such a smart guy.

Rondo takes away Parsons shots. He must be offended.

I'm no fan of what, but you either misunderstood or deliberately misrepresented some of his terms to make things look worse (such as when he called Rondo anti-analytic, Rondo is the embodiment of anti-analytic), so of course it seems worse to you.

Their schedule over the last 11 games has been easier than the games before that too.

Is this sarcasm? From what I can see the ts% and efg% of everyone got worse. Anyway the most telling stat is Dallas was 0 wins against western playoff opponents, now they're 1-8 against those said teams. I guess that's an improvement? If Dallas ends up resigning Rondo for the max or he leaves in FA I'll make sure to bring this thread up so everyone can discuss again how amazing that trade was for the mavs.

Yes, let's bump this when the Mavs are in the playoffs. I doubt even Rondo signs for the max. I think he'll sign for less.

Of course, if the Mavs don't have a good run in the playoffs you'll blame it on Rondo regardless of the competition or if his teammates play awful. Or if they do have a good run, you'll give Rondo none of the credit. That's just how your bias works.

If they have a good playoff run, Rondo probably deserves all the credit, as that team has looked about as likely as the lakers of being able to win 4 of 7 against the other 7 playoff teams in the west.

The Mavs were on track for the playoffs anyway so why is getting to the playoffs now supposed to be a victory for Rondo? Considering they gave up a pick and ended up with the same result then it is a horrible trade. Dallas was pegged as first round fodder prior to the trade, if they reach the 2nd round then I'll admit it was a good trade in the short term. If Rondo then signs for 10M a year then I'll also admit it was a good trade overall for Dallas.

However, I'd just like to point out what you think he wants and what Rondo actually wants are two different things:

    http://greenstreet.weei.com/sports/...l-rajon-rondo-requested-100-million-contract/

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...2014-15-season-to-prove-hes-max-contract-star

If he wanted a max on Celts team without any overpaid players why the **** would he settle for less than the max on a team with Parsons already making the max?

That's not at all what I meant, what I meant was what they'll do in the playoffs with him.

So basically, offense has taken a hit, and defense has improved, like we all expected. The question is was it worth losing depth in your front court? It might not matter now, but come playoff time, that will be a big factor.
