Henry Thomas, the agent that is representing Chris Bosh, tells FoxSportsHouston.com that Bosh is, “Keeping his options open. Houston is a team he will evaluate.”
Thomas, responding to calls from FoxSportsHouston.com, relayed his quote via his assistant, Kris White.

It is widely presumed that Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey will call on Bosh and his agent once teams are allowed to contact free agents-after 11 P.M. CST tonight.

Morey, under league rules, is not allowed meet with Bosh or the agent prior to that time, so Morey can not confirm that he is, indeed, en route to meet with Bosh or any other free agent.

Meh, this "quote" was relayed by one of the agent's assistants, not the actual agent nor Bosh.

The one advantage we can gain ourselves is to go to Toronto right away tonight and give them a solid S and T proposal that will make their front office push Bosh toward us. I have to think he doesn't want to leave the city of Toronto decimated.

Nothing new here. Anyone looking to improve their negotiating position should shop around. Even if he is secretly not interested in coming to HOU he would be dumb to not consider the Rox just so he could leverage more out of the teams he really is interested in.

He's going to get a max deal, that's a given...so what more is he going to leverage? Bosh, Lebron and Wade will be selecting a team, not negotiating.

Agree. I mean its not like he is leaving with any bitterness towards the team or city. They just simply are not ready to win. At this stage in his career Toronto is not the right fit for him. I do not see any reason why Bosh would not want to at least help them out instead of leaving them high and dry.

He will, that's the whole point of the sign and trade. He gets his sixth year and the extra money that comes with it.

Leverage the teams that believe they have a shot at signing him w/o a sign and trade. He can use the threat of signing with us as motivation for the team he really wants to play for to create some kind of S&T package so he gets the max years and cash. I am hopeful we have a legit shot but who knows.

This is why I've always thought it weird why so many people are so convinced about "done deals". It would be stupid and negligent for him and his agent to not fully scout the market.

Only with an SnT. Colangelo says he'll SnT - only with team in West. I say Junior demands Hedo and/or Calderon and/or Jack must be included in a CB4 SnT. It will take all three 3s + Hill + ? (Lowry SnT?) to get the deal done IF Bosh says YES to DM the GM.

That's the problem. The teams that have the gigantic cap space have only a handful of players on their roster. They don't really have anything to put together in an attractive offer. Chicago isn't going to include Noah or Rose. Miami literally only has Chalmers and Beasley and there's little interenst in Beasley. The Nets aren't going to include Lopez. The Knicks have no players or draft picks.

None of those teams can compete with what Houston could offer. It will be interesting to see what happens because either Toronto or Cleveland is going to call their players bluff and refuse to do a SnT. Then we'll see if they truely are willing to walk away from $30M. Lebron is the most likely candidate to leave money on the table since his endorsment income is so large.
