I loved that game. Played for hours at a neighbor's house on super nintendo as a kid. I may need to get me a Wii again.

Do you have a personal grudge against EA or something? This isn't a pure basketball simulation game. NBA Jam was just wall-to-wall fun. It wasn't like the original NBA Jam had a lot of tough and technical things.

IMO, if they're going to do this, they need to keep it in 2D format. Hell, bring back cell-shading for this game would be nice.

The greatest 2 on 2 partial roster quasi-basketball game of all time.

This is EXCLUSIVE to the Wii people. It'll probably have some tacked on waggle support. Let's see.

The biggest thing they need to do when bringing it back is to license and get all-time teams and legends worked in.

Elgin Baylor, Dominique Wilkins, World B. Free, Pistol Pete.....they HAVE to get those guys in there. Give us massive rosters and unlockables.

Update it so it's not just the dunks that are wild, throw in the craziest spins, rolls, and hot dog passes.

    DO IT

Yall remember the Run & Gun Arcade game? It was the first game I remember to have the up and down style view. I wanna say it was ported to SNES under a different name. I spent a lot of quarters on that one.

Did you ever play NBA Jam? It's completely different from NBA 2k10 other than the fact it's about basketball.

So much fun! I agree it would be cool if they included 'legends' or something like that.

The most frustrating thing is you could never get a big lead on the computer. It would always go to god level to even the score again.

I played the hell out of NBA Jam TE for the SNES back in college. The Rockets were the champs and Dream had his MVP season. We'd sit around and get baked and then slow down the clock, turn down the difficulty to very easy, enter the codes for power up Fire and Steals, and see how badly we could destroy the computer.

Best we ever did was 365-4. We always played as the Rockets.

Double dribble and NBA Jam, I spent many hours in front of those games. They are never as good as you remember, though. Just leave them as classics!

Hearing "He's on Fire!" never gets old, unless it's player 2.

I loved that game. Not sure if it was ever ported to SNES, but did play like an arcade version of this:

I remember when this game was "on fire," I heard rumors about all of these codes coming out. You could be Beavis & Butthead, Barney, even President Clinton. To me they were all urban legends though because I never saw it with my own eyes. Do you guys know it that was true?

For me, the fun of NBA Jam was in the simplicity of the game. It wasn't trying to have real-world physics, gaming strategy, and photo-realistic characters. It was about playing ball and having fun. I hope they keep the humor, fun, and simple controls in the Wii version.
