Can he be considered a 1st pick bust? He's a solid player, but those DNP's from injuries must be taking its toll.
Nah. There's a decent line in front of him. The injuries stink, but the Bucks' shoestring budget, no vision franchise hurt his career worse than anything else.
Not really. It'd be like calling Yao Ming a bust for that reason. Bogut's been more consistent than Andrew Bynum. I'd call a healthy Michael Olowakandi a much bigger bust
He's the second best Center in the league when he's healthy. I'd take Bogut + Ilyasova + Captain Jack for anybody on the roster outside of Lowry and Lee. They don't even need Lowry since they have Jennings anyways.
At what point will he be considered a bust like Oden? All the talent, but will never be able to show it.

Calling him a bust would be like calling Yao a bust. Also don't compare him to Oden, that's like comparing Von Wafer to MJ when it comes to being injury prone. Oden hasn't played a game in 2 years, and he injured himself walking down the court. Bogut at least is injured in freak accidents.
If the dude's unrestricted why not wait until the season's done and pay him with the capspace we free up from the 09ers? Then you can keep the guys you'd have to trade for him.
the package going out would probably be the right amount of value regardless of whether Ilyasova is included or not. outside of him theres not really anyone else on their roster (attainable) that I would be intrested in. The Bucks have been high on Pat and would ask for him in a deal involving Bogut, Martin gives you a player with name value coming back in, and Bert fills their hole at C.
Bogut is on the books for two more seasons after this one. If you are aquiring Bogut, its under the assumption that you have a top tier center on the books for the next two seasons. Stephen Jackson has just one more deal left after this one. McHale can deal with one head case for 20 something games. Going into next season Captain Jack will be productive going into his contract year. This dude has made it clear he wants to be paid.
aha... got it. Yeah Ilyasova will be a target for the Rockets this summer most likely. Obviously a deal for Bogut would be targeting Bogut first and foremost under the assumption he will 100% healthy next year. I would have no problem taking on Ilyasova for say Dragic or another piece they might want to take a flyer on and they had interest in signing in the future, and they are walking away from Ilyasova in the offseason. I do agree though that trading expiring for expiring doesn't make a ton of sense. I would assume that a deal would be packaged around Jackson/Bogut and they wouldnt deal Ilyasova unless picks were involved.
